I wanted Amma to come down from the roof for once today! I really missed her :(
Hopefully she provides a little bit of solace to the wounded souls soon, because I don't know if I can watch much more of Indira looking at Rishi the way she did throughout the Wednesday episode!
And Mrs. Diwan just had to make an appearance at the worst possible time, thanks to her other son's planning. This is horrible. I think I can sympathize with her in spite of all the things she said to Indira. She is misinformed, after all! And she has no other choice but to take Indira's words at face value, since she doesn't know her like Ricky does (I'm going in circles with this Rishi/Ricky business, in one way it's good that this confusion will be over soon; then we'll only be addressing him using one name! Maybe we should all just go back to calling him Mr. Kiraidaar). Indira was jumping to conclusions about Mrs. Diwan, too, so I'm not going to take sides with anyone over that particular issue. I just feel bad for all three people involved! Not a good day for them!

I hate Sam to core now 😡. He used his mother's emotion to win a challenge. Don't know if anyone except Ricky will ever realise this? 😕

Borna,

While your post was beautiful, and I liked its poignance, I could not contribute myself for a while on your subject line "Repercussions of Silence"

And I was thinking and thinking. Just now it dawned on me. Who keeps the matter hidden like Rishi has done ?? Truly. How can he hide the matter from the family with whom he is living. While I got so much into Rishi's character that I trust him he has his reasons, but truly isn't there a line somewhere for his silence?? And still he keeps silent. Of course, I too was feeling guilty on behalf of Rishi/Ricky towards Indira and his mom today, I was not hurt for Rishi and only felt sad at the turn of events. It had to be sad any day when it was going to be a discovery for Indira.

I was previously thinking that when his truth comes out, he will be all alone, much needing emotional support. But today, I had a certain respite that this guy will not be in a piteous state. His acknowledgement of his actions and the "repercussions" that he saw today, did not much shock him or cause dismay. It only increased his pain and hurt. But there was not an inch of determination of character coming down. So how can this guy be all alone ? When no one will be there with him, his better sense, his guilt, his will to correct things, his will to deliver things, his will to stand up for things he believes in; will keep him going regardless of what happens to him or what befalls him. Well that was my take from watching him today and pondering after your post with that subject line.

At this point and even earlier in the story, I do not care why chose to keep silent. Some like to play Gods. Well if they are trying to be one, better you get ready to get crucified.

Nels, we still have to get through the next episode
I honestly have no idea how I'm going to deal with this at the rate things are taking a nosedive. I'm watching the last few minutes of the episode again and Indira's expressions are killing me! Every time she looks at Rishi...
When Mrs. Diwan says, "Mere bete ka peechha chhod de," it's like the nail in the coffin for Indira. The entire blank check bit was hard to watch because of Indira's expressions - almost as if she's wondering, "So now my feelings for this man are worth a certain price as well?" Then the way she turns to look at Rishi and the disbelief on her face when he doesn't say anything and instead turns away from her for a bit...The monologue at the end...Heartbreaking. Yet another person Indira cares for, yet another person she let into her heart after so long...and this is how things turn out...Really, how much worse can I feel at this point?

Ah, Shri! You just took that subject line to a much higher level than I had intended!
Bravo for those thoughts about Rishi, seriously. All the bold parts I agree with completely. Beautifully worded. This was going to happen, and Indira was bound to be hurt by these revelations regardless of when they happened. Now you've got me thinking about Rishi's determination...We've seen him commit errors, like any human is prone to do; we've also seen him trying to compensate for his mistakes and alleviate any negative consequences that those mistakes have brought with them. He's suffering because he's trying to take on much more than he can handle, but he's still hanging on. I hope he doesn't get swept away by the approaching storm now...
PS - I hope that my name up there was the result of a typo! 😛

Wonderful post Borna! 😃

As much i enjoyed Rishi&Indira in the confession scene (ahhh...won't get tired of repeating this :P), felt so bad for them today. You described the situation of Rishi and Indira so well. She just could not believe her Kiraaydar would lie to her and betray her. Her pain was his and his was hers. I could not really tell that i felt more bad for Indira and vice versa, could not see their pain separately. I mentioned in one of my posts, I want to see Indira showing Amma how hurt she is, or it is not even needed as Amma will understand her pain without Indira herself telling her about that, hope to see this happening.

I always love to see Indira melting, doesn't matter for whom. For once i would love to see her melting down for Rishi, that would be soo sweet! :P
