I actually didn't take it as him threatening his mom. I was thinking more along the lines that he won't be able to have the courage to say this to his mom again. Some kids just don't have it in them to speak up in front of their parents so maybe that is the angle that the CV's were going for and mustered up enough courage to say something to his mom that she may not want to hear (also to let her know how he feels about Indira too). I don't think Rishi would physically threaten his mom but I do think that he wanted her to know how much he loves Indira and wants no harm to come to her.

He meant as you are my mother Shes my lover ! as I love you I love her too and I wont tolerate anyone hurting her.You slapped her But never ever do this again.If someone else would hv done this I would hv broken her hand But since You are my mother I m saying this and that too last time.Dont do this again with her.
