I am glad they illuminated this kind of mentality for its stupidity isn't easily perceived by many. Case in point, a recent relative of mine who was telling his mother that his one child is far better than all of her five children (yes including him) put together. 😕
For me it isn't about being gaga over her husband. This isn't love but rather her husband is a means for competitiveness. He is her accessory. He makes her look good, regardless of anything, which is why she is almost blinded to certain things.
I love how the creatives are highlighting each character's flaws and weaknesses. She is the very competitive type, family isn't excluded. She doesn't understand that being a part of a family means you can't really slur another without slurring your own self, being in some way you are connected and linked to them.
Competitiveness is a precursor to hasad or envy which worries me, in regards Indira if she finds something, even a little something, good or precious in her life.
Nonetheless I am loving the creatives characterizations, at least maybe it will help some people to recognize themselves, and then maybe a catalyst for change.
With love, Sabah
