havent read all the comments, so if anything is repeated please excuse 😃
i agree that it might be too early to comment on the lack of dreamy sequences, etc. the set is actually quite nice since it adheres to the story plot/content & allows us to imagine and understand that situations like these occur. think about how many Public Service Announcements serials give during their duration (i.e., dont use fireworks bc children make them and they create noise, do not pollute, etc) - by using realistic sets, the serial is subconsciously addressing the changing society of india & its women. indira is juxtaposed with four different examples of how women are perceived in society (jhampa the manipulative vamp, the mother as the faithful & sad woman, sunaina the doting & brainheaded wife, and mandira the hip insensitive youngster). on top of this juxtaposition we see how they all are justifying themselves but still come up short to indira .. indira is an example of how women should be self-aware, resourceful and persistent in all aspects (belief, work attitude, and faith).
as for the dreamy sequences, i feel like as the story progresses and indira's life starts to become less burdensome & have more color to it - than the most justifiable way for us to see some naach gaana would be through her imagination. who does not daydream? many times we dream or imagine alternate realities, i think that way of inclusion would be the most justifiable inclusion of fantasy for HD. it really deserves to keep its originality, reputability, & relativity.
in the end, the lack of those larger than life qualities do not make the show any less enjoyable or respectable. in fact, it could be a precedent for a new genre of more in-depth & quality shows to grace indian television. plus, those serials that last more than two/three years, have leaps of time, and just create new random problems become so annoying. all good things in moderation :) (goodness knows how actors of serials which they are only associated with their character for years will get other roles bc it feels like they've been type-casted. no one will see them as anything else).
