Just want to know why it took Sirius 13 years to break out of Azkaban? I mean since he is an Animagus, he could have escaped much sooner than that!

It is an old story, I know but I just wanted to know!

i think-

sirius escaped only when he saw a picture of ron's family while on their tour.he saw scabbers and recognised it as pettigrew.he knew tht pettigrew wud now go to hogwarts.he escaped to kill pettigrew.

i dnt know if this is fully right...but it is partly right

mayb he thought that there was on point of him actually escaping but as Alcazar said wen he saw the pic of ron then mayb he had a reason?!!! 😕

Yeah, I totally agree with you. He only escaped from azkaban when he felt that Harry was in trouble..

I suppose just as one can't apparate within Hogwarts-- they have charms to prevent the people within Azkaban to do magic of any type.....

yh that all makes sense...and myabe b4 during those 13 yr's he probably thought harry was being well looked after by his aunt and uncle so he had no real reason then..but he did when he saw that pic
