Anyday I love Alan. But thats simply bcoz he is a terrific actor and rather smooth, no lubrication needed thank u very much.
But u know , seriously speaking (I know it doesnt suit me much but whatever!), Snape is truly a 'gem of a Character' as Rowling described him. He is such a wonderful dish for character study...so interesting and ambiguous. Quite a very "different" character if u get my point...an amazing Byronical hero..I like him for those darker attributes contrasted with some virtues which give him a high.
James is too tad annoying. Snape is soo spicy even when he irks you!

Snape was in love with a woman who clearly didn't love him and yet didn't back off. James OBVIOUSLY knew this fact, but didn't do anything to hurt Snape (except in school)... I agree, snape did a lot for Harry, but come on, if James were alive, he would have done the very same, if not more for his son... James might have struck as immature according to what's shown... But he did end up as head boy, and that clearly meant that Dumbledore saw something in him which he didn't see in Snape. I trust dumbledore completely, and i agree in this case, James was a really good person too! (Not just a bakwaas kid) ...

I have a contradiction for each and every point up there Sam. Sorry but I just cannot see any point where we meet in thoughts at least on this case.

1: That Lily didnt Love Snape- C'mon how do U know that!?!😆😉 Rowling herself confessed that Lily may have fallen in love with Snape if not for his so called "wrong" and "twisted" ways. She had to pull herself back anyhow and that why she resisted it and anyways James was too 'charming' (sour IMO)!😆😉

2: Back Off:-sorry I fail to get the point. why should he cease loving her even if its a one way track? Arre how can u?! U love something quite a lot but u dont really get that back in the same magnitude. Is it mandatory that you should STOP loving that thing which has courted ur admiration? Whats wrong if u continue loving something long lost. Ok One has to live in the present and all that but its up to preference. Flawed Humans never do make good judges of other humans. We are all humans, we just cannot judge anyone else as long as we can judge and pass ourselves as perfect.

3: Snape didn't do anything for Harry. James wud have done everything for Harry. Harry is his Son. James would see in Harry all thats good in his life. He wud see the reflection of his love and himself in Harry. Snape sees the eflection of the woman he loved, and the man he hated in Harry. Push urself into a pressing position, u never really make the life changing decision that will be positive. James anyways got blown up so no music. at the end of the day, He needed 'Snivellus' to save his son's skin while he got blown into pieces. There is no gaga about what "he would have done" when he himself didnt give that chance and went idiotically to fight without a wand...Escapist!😆😉

4: As for this "Head Boy" thing...yuck..Who cares?! Percy isnt the best of people. He was human and ambitious-Natural enough but his head wasnt as much pumpkin sized as Mr Potter Sr's!😆😉 Head Boy my hat!😆😉

We have turned this into a Severus Snape v/s James Potter thread! Pathetic! I am so Pathetic and those who instigate me and even more so!!!😆😉
