There definitely is a probability that there will be an alternate time line. A parallel universe where you mysteriously died and do not exist. There is a probability that the alternate will sustain itself.

However, I personally beleive that matter an energy is finite and creating a parallel universe is forces existing matter and energy to split into two and if not converged back to the regular path will not be able to sustain itself. Donnie Darko is based on the theory that a parallel universe can exist only for 28 days before collapsing.

^^Dont they say that the progress of Physics is measured by not the number of Questions it has managed to answer but rather the number of new Questions it has cum up with...Parallel Universe, Time Travel etc etc which have been introduced through Quantum Theory but strings which seem to oppose them in some ways (and explain in some others but the two ends never seem to meet) all are Questions put forward by Science..We may never reach an agreement which appeals to all. Bcoz, for every point of ours, there is bound to be a contradictoy version. And we can only deduce afterall...

^^^i agree with lakshmi, that since this matters are ju8st theoratical, we can have different opinons...

But return to hades (dont know ur name, sorry...) i am not a genius, so sorry havent understood ur theory again 😆 sorry...will u explain these facts?

why only 28 days? why ??? will u explain me? and in HP verse, didnt they also create a parallel world?

What are fools to believe, when wise men fail to agree?

As I stated in the very first explanation on this thread. Time travel is not reality, it is based on many what ifs. We can only speculate what can be. Even top level scientists do not agree on aspects of quantum physics, matter and anti-matter. We all are limited to our imagination.

Although considering that I am class ber geek, level six in the hierarchy one removed from the furries, I tend to be a bit cocky with my imagination.

OT Rant: Internet abbreviations are one of my pet peeves, but I too have been guilty of its usage. However, the one shortcut that annoys me to no end is the usage of 'cum'. I mean how hard is it to type an extra letter in a word. Has anyone ever tried a search on 'cum' and seen what it 'comes' up with before using. It tempts me to use 'c**t' for 'cant', either you 'cum' or you 'c**t'. Argh!!!

Yes it is all based on theoritical assumptions.

Hmm, I am not sure how I can further simplify what I was trying to say. We are taught in science that matter and energy is finite in the entirety of the universe. They cannot be created or destroyed, what exists thats that.

So either every alternate, every possible probability outcome already exists which would make a parrallel universe tangent possible as it already exists as an outcome. Otherwise, there is one finite timeline that must be. A parallel timeline cannot exist because creating a parallel universe means creating matter, energy and time for that universe which is impossible, so it results in duality of current existence which is unstable. Again personal theoritical preference.

Regarding 28 days, its just the premise of the movie Donnie Darko. The theory in that movie is that a tangent can last only 28 days before collapsing. Btw, Donnie Darko is one of the most brilliant sci-fi time travel movies ever. Jake Gyllenhall's best movie ever. The movie seriously messes with your mind.

Finer points are the details of a larger picture or a broader topic; it cannot be used to explain away the context of a sentence. Whether one says it by name or not, it does not change the meaning of the sentence or phrase.

I hardly see why this is a problem and why you find it necessary to point out that you didn't use the word itself. Context is context and no matter how it's used it's going to have the same meaning.

But "Imagination" can be boundless...and anyway What is reality?? Reality is based on many Ifs too..Life without Ifs doesnt exist...

Let me explain this a different way. No matter how it's worded the context is the same.

If I say "My point is superior."

I could also say that "My point is better," without changing the context i.e. meaning of the sentence.

Both use different words. The context of the sentence, however, is the same. In this case, it's because better and superior are interchangeable.

Btw, we're digressing off topic. Please PM me if you have anything else to say regarding this.
