As far as i'm concerened with, Lucias was a death eater and so, it is quite obvious that he commited (or atleast supported) murder. And the one who can do this limit of bad deeds, is definitely considered as "evil".

Yeah mit, i agree that draco and even narcisa wasnt that bad, forgiving them is ok, but about lucias, according to me, he shud have been punished.

anyways...even then Severus Snape doesnt fall into the cateogory of SELFISH people for all that he persevered blah blah..It was a mere corollary..he was an intesnse person in all dimensions...

I believe it to be simply bcoz he was a man who learnt his mistake thru terrible blows which struck him one after the other..

Whatever may have been the circumstance, he ended up doing just that...the change in him(Not his basic vindicative character but in his outlook) is evident from the single dialogue of his in DHt o Dumbledore query "How many men and women have u watched die recently Severus...?" that "Only the ones whom I havent been able to save"

Men take time to understand their mistake and change..U must give them time to get over all his...The Path of Redemption isnt whats diffoicult..But its the Path TO redemption that is...whats wrong if thats triggered by a selfish interest...It cums down to same thing anyways for we are all humans...
One shudnt simply jump into the canon and passing ur judgement of a person who is as sane, mortal and as it follows humanly flawed as u...

Lucius's case is similar...I think u all wud agree that Lucius is nowhere near Snape when it cums to Bravery and will power...But time changes people...He may indeed conspicuously lack that innate bravery and courage, But still he is as human and so whatever may have been he reason, one day a man, whose soul isnt really so much tainted as Voldemort's(who is beyond redemption in Jo's words) and simply loved the luxury and pomp of being "pure blood" and all that rubbish....they have the choice of redemption and I for one think that The malfoys all wud have chosen the path for all we know...

every human bravado act is triggered off my ur emotions and selfshness...
behind every virtuous act is a Deep Human mystery...

PS: I hope we have agreed that age has concessions and that Draco was merely led the wrong way and not evil...😊

It is said that Snape came back to the Good side, and regreted what he had done(be it for selfish reasons or not.....)But where in any of the 7 books was it written that Lucius & Narcissa came over to the good side???????????

They just went and searched the castle 4 Draco but they never faught against Voldemort......or try to help Harry bcoz it was a good thing to do or bcoz it would help destroy Voldy......BUT snape really regretted and became good.......😳

I think the Malfoys showed the possibility of changing and so there is a huge chance that they did...that may be why they werent 'Punished'...

Daddy and Mummy Malfoys were indeed trying to find Draco...They held their Son above all this war n whatever stuff...they just wanted out of this and be safe(😆). But given a choice, they wud have prefered their personal safety over war of Muggles v/s Wizards or Purebloods...

They dont display Foolish bravery like Gryffindors and choose to save their necks any given day...Jst coz u dun hell bent urself to Save sumone putting urself in danger, U arent a bad person...a Shrewd person isnt evil...Nyway I see no reason for them to go saving Harry when they have their own son to think of...No Sane Human will so. Bellatrix for one is really evil...I dun need to explain...Outward Physical contrast can be used effectively to imply character contrast if u have no space to explain in detail...which has been done pretty well in Narcissa-Bella case...Sry I amnt efering to Looks but just he difference is subyle and heavy features can oft been manipulated enough to make u understad contrast in characters...

agreed that Lucius or any of the Malfoys may no have displayed the bravery or Mental Strength of Sevrus...But That doesnt necessarily reflect them as Evil...Evil needs Mental Strenth..
