Sectumsempra and Levicorpus in OOTP

WEll I was just wondering..In Snape's Worst Memory in OOTP...WHEN James Jinxes Snape...after the jinx wears off, doesnt Snape curse James with Sectumsempra and then James covered with gashes and blood...he csts a spell on Severus which makes him hang upside down(Isnt that Levicorpus?!)

which may explain why Snape shouts at Harry that "How dare u use my spells Potter? Its I who invented them..I The Half Blood Prince...Like ur filthy father"..He says something like that..does it mean James was using Snape's invention I mean Levicorpus is invented by Severus...James who hates Dark Arts...😉

Snape never cursed James with the Sectumsempra spell, otherwise he would not have been able to retreat with the levicorpus spell.

As for the Levicorpus spell being invented by Severus, I highly doubt it, as Remus once said, that spell was very popular in his day and they often came and went out of fashion. But I may be wrong, and the reference to Harry being like his father may be refering to this.

Also levicorpus, i do not think you would class this as a dark spell, it was merely a spell which caused the victim to be hung upside down, but yes if you choose to use it in the wrong way the it may be considered as dark.

eg. the death eaters using it to levitate the muggles into the air at the Quidditch World Cup in GoF.

But the way James used it, I do not think it would really be counted as dark.

^^^Haha..Ur last sentence cracke me yaar..as Jams used it..It cant be dark spell...well I was under he impression hat Levicorpus was invented by Snape...But u are right..Lupin does say that it was a popular spell once...

anyways..When snape crses James...a deep gash appears on his face and blood oozed out all over his robes...I thought Sectumsempra does that though I too wondered why it didnt affect James at all... 😆 😕 😕
N also in the Half Blood Prince, Snape shouts at Harry that Harry's "Filthy father" too used his(Snape's) spells against him.... 😕 😕 I was kinda confused 😳

^^^so it was Snape Invention??? I agree with Missy that its not said in HBP that Levicorpus is his invention...Lupin said it was a famous spell of the time...If it was Snape's invention..no wonder why Snape told Harry that Harry was like his father who used Snape's spells 😆 😆 😆

well I just read HBP AGAIN the last part "Flight Of The Prince"--in that when Harry first shoouts Sectumsempra as Snape He repells it and then Harry tries to concentrate as use N-VBL Levicorpus...n then Snape shouts..."No...You dare use my own SPELLS agaisnt me Potter? It was I who invented THEM...I, The Half Blood Prince"---n he says like his filthy faher , harry too is using his inventions...

so Levicorpus IS Snape's Invention. N James somehow found it out..Interesting 😆 😉 I doubt if Lupin or anyone for that matter(Maybe James did know....) knew it was Snape who invented it

I think that Snape was referring to Sectumsempra as the being like his father quote.

And Levicorpus can not be Snape's invention, and even if it was then Lupin would have been able to tell Harry the identity of the Half Blood Prince, because if James had "accidentally" stumbled across Snapes Potion book, he would have told the Marauders about it and then Remus would have known that the HBP was Severus.

^^^Maybe yes...But from what Snape was telling..I got the impression that he invented Levicorpus..dunno 😕

Does that mean snape invented those spells when he was either in school or before he started school. Isnt that a bit too young to invent spells.

i don' think it was snapes invention.....cus like lupin said curses cone and go kind alike fashion....so maybe snape was the first in their generation to use it....and it got popular....as for invention...i don't think so...cus voldy knew bout it 2 😉
