Hey Guys! 🤗

I am just wondering...

Didn't Harry see his mother die? Even though he was really small, he still saw his mother die...so why couldn't he see the thestrals in his 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year....

In 5th he could see them because he saw Cedric die...

So im just thinking does it not count for kids? Or did Harry even see his Mother die? Or he couldn't see them in his first 4 years because he was too little and he can not remeber seeing his mum die?

ya it occurd 2 me too...but i thnk it wsnt countd bcoz he was too small n dont remember seein his mom's death....

I guess it depends on the memory... I doubt he remembers "seeing" it... I think he can remember her voice, but other than that, i'm not too sure...

On the other hand, maybe the kid shut his eyes 🤣

I think it actually is because of the fact that harry was only 1 year old when his parents died. because of that he never really registered that part of his life, till PoA when he's attacked by dementors which bring back to him his memories of his childhood and seeing his mother die. The first real death that harry sees after gaining understanding and *permit me to say this* usage of his brains to decipher things, is Cedric's Death. Hence he's only able to see thestrals after Cedric's Death and not before that.......

oopsy u r right! but perhaps he didn't see his mother die. perhaps all he saw was a blinding green light and heard her scream.
