Christopher Brown, one of the pair arrested for assisting in "the detention or removal" of the stolen Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince books, today pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Brown, at Kettering Magistrates' Court spoke only to confirm his name, address, and enter the not guilty pleas to the two.

The magistrate Sheila Fairweather ruled that the court did not have sufficient powers to handle the case and ordered Brown to be tried at Northampton Crown Court and so he was released on unconditional bail until 8th August.

Aaron Lambert is due before Northampton Crown Court on the 10th October, accused of possessing a replica handgun with intent to cause Sun newspaper reporter John Askill fear through unlawful violence.
