Gubraithian Fire, also known as Everlasting Fire, is an enchanted flame that burns forever without dying. It is quite an advanced piece of magic.

Created as an act of friendly

Albus Dumbledore provided Hagrid with a branch of this fire as a gift for the Giants which did go down quite well.

Being an advanced spell, this wasn't taught at Hogwarts. It was only seen when Hagrid gave it as a gift to the Giants.

Trusted upon the trusted one..

Dumbledore provided this as a gift to the giants. He wanted them to fight against Lord Voldemort on his side. Seeing this was an important task, he trusted upon Hagrid.

Quite unusual though it wasn't according to one..

Seemed to be the origin from smallest of the land..

This wasn't taught at Hogwarts being an advanced piece of magic. But according to Hermione, by their fifth year, Professor Flitwick had mentioned it atleast twice during Charms lessons. Since Flitwick was the one who actually told the students about it, I used the word origin here.. Also since Flitwick was a dwarf, I used smallest of the land.
