"sure you don't need a hand there Divzy," Sirius said with a crooked smile. Divya was loading her trunk onto the train.
"not a hand, a paw will do Padfoot," Divya retorted with a sly smile on her face.
"now now Divz, don't be mean," Remus said. The boys and Divya loaded their trunks into their respective compartments before James and Lupin headed to the front of the train and Sirius disappeared to find Peter Pettigrew on the platform.
On the other hand a girl with long red hair and beautiful green eyes was loading her trunk on the train.
"Lily!" Divya squealed and hugged Lily tightly,"how are you?" both asked in unison.
They broke apart. Lily's eyes were shining with tears.
"I'm so relived you're ok" she said.
"me too" Divya said smiling. The summer had been full of terror for all of them," OMG Lilz is that a Head Girl badge?" Divya asked
"oh yeah, it's not as exciting as i thought it would have been" Lily murmured.
"don't be silly Lilz, this year is our last year, its going to be nothing short of amazing" both smiled.
"where are Olivia, Alice and Emma?" Lily asked looking at her watch,"I'm getting late, I need to go for the Prefect's meeting"
"Lilz who's head boy?" Divya asked
"No idea, I'm guessing it's Remus,"Lily said absentmindedly,"ok Divz I need to be off,I don't wanna be late,"
"ok hurry back we need to talk, so much has happened,"
Lily walked out of the compartment. There was the usual hustle and bustle in the train as everyone tried to get on to the train and said their goodbyes to family and friends who had come to drop them off. She felt calmer today than she had all summer, seeing Divya, being back on the Hogwarts Express...the only thing missing was-
"Potter!" Lily exclaimed
"Hello to you to Evans, sorry I can't give you the same energetic greeting," James said yawning. Lily noticed he had dark circles around his eyes and looked like he had lost weight. James's hair was as messy as ever.
"OUT! this is a prefect's compartment so get out" Lily said.
"which is why I'm here," James said and he faced Lily who took in the Head Boy's badge, her eye's widening.
"give Remus back his badge and go, I'm sure Black's waiting for you somewhere so you can plan more chaos," Lily said
"no Lily, it's his badge and he's Head Boy," Remus clarified. Lily was shocked. what was Dumbledore thinking making Potter head boy.
"Evans the prefects are coming please sort your expression out and be ready for the meeting," James said.
"this is gonna be one long year..." Lily muttered to herself.
