RES.
I will reply to this tomorrow. But I agree. I can't imagine a life without Harry Potter. 😔
I grew up with it. Started reading it when I was 11 & now I am 17. Ironical much? 😊
I couldn't even sleep properly, so am back online, editing this. When I used to go to school in 5th-6th grade there used to be numerous girls and gals reading the HP books. I however, refused to read them then thinking that I wont read a book about a BOY wizard.
But when I was around 11 I was sick and happened to watch the first movie on Pogo. I loved it instantly. I was so drawn to Harry's world. I went to the school library and borrowed a battered copy of Philosophers Stone and read it ASAP.
My birthday was arriving soon, so my cousins, grandparents and parents, all together got me HP books 2-5. I was enthralled. I read them as fast as I could, and felt myself getting pulled more and more into the Harry's world. I went to see the third film in the theatre with my cousins that year.
The next year Goblet of Fire released and I went for it with my family and friends on the first day. HP is a super craze here, in Hyderabad. :) Then in 2007 the final book was coming out. I had pre-ordered it, and me, along with my best friend went to the store early morning, got our books and got to work.
I was in tears throughout. I kept crying. When each person died I cried so bad (except Bella, Voldy, Wormtail). Even then I was calmed down, there were still so many films left. It's not all over.
Life without Potter was always lurking around the corner, but there was still one more film. Except now that there WONT be another film. It's all over. And I hate to accept it. I am having tears in my eyes while writing this.
It's like...it's like someone close to me is passing away or something. I hate this. But yet, I love HP. I love the books, I love the films. I don't want to imagine a life without Potter.
I'll be pretty lonely without the boy who lived and his two best friends. They had become a part of my life.
