Well, I couldn't help butting in. I think JKR said this in one of her interviews post-HBP. When Dumbledore said, "Remember my last", he was referring to the letter he kept in Harry's blankets when he left him on the Dursley's door-step, in the 1st chapter of SS/PS.

I think Petunia might have a regular correspondence with Dumbledore. Who knows, she might even be a witch? But she doesn't disclose that on Dumbledore's orders.There are chances that she doesn't hate harry as much as she says. She might really care for harry like her mother. But she pretends that she hates harry so that her husband doesn't suspect anything.
She might play a significant role in the end. She might die to save harry in the seventh book like his mother did.After all, she has the same blood as lily.

Well i was reading the post and some of them are great ideas but i say that petunia was a witch but she got expelled from Hogworts

I like the idea about her liking siruis that could be true but who knows

I think she will be there to offer protection like lily did so she will sarifice her life to save harry or something and then harry will kill voldermort

Maybe petunia always cared about harry but couldn't show it because of Uncle Veron

petunia has love for harry, just doesnt want to show it, he is her blood remember...this is not ekta's serial, where petunia, will be a horrible aunt and then lily comes back from the dead to get revenge 😆

i guess there could be a possibility that petunia is a witch...but J.K. Rowling hasnt made any big hints that she might be one...

Nahin guys. Petunia was most certainly not a witch. JKR said so herself - she said Petunia is not a witch. I posted it on page one, I think, the quote where JKR says that Petunia has never performed magic nor will she ever be able to do so. A witch can perform magic.

That only leaves one thing: Petunia as a Squib. However, I think JKR debunked that somewhere, but I can't find where. I'm 90% sure however.

So Petunia does not know magic.

ya i dont think shes a witch either and i dont think shes a squib as well because she was born into a muggle family.

she just has a general dislike for every magical person, i think she has not reason to justify why she thinks they're "freaks". maybe she was just jelous of her parents giving more attention to lily than to her.

also, have u noticed that they have not said anything about how her relationship with lily was before she found out she was a witch. maybe they used to get along really well and she may have missed how close she and lily used to be. that could be a reason why she took harry in.

she nd lily wer nvr close...petunia hated lily...
mebbe she hated magic coz she cudnt do it...
n abt bein in luv wid sirius...hmm..i think its possible...he obv wud hv turned her down...so nother reason 2 hate magic...
n abt harry..obv she cant leave him on the doorstep..in her own wrds "the neighbours wud begin 2 talk"....
im sure she hs absolutely no motherly feelins for harry..hes just a piece of furniture 2 her..2 b kept..nuthin more...
but shes mysterious..ill gie her dat...strange...tht she preseved tht info abt azkaban fer so many years...mebbe becoz her former luv(sirius) was there fer 13 yrs...
