It's a good idea, but then it might make the HP forum Spammer Central. I mean, peopl might just start topics for the heck of it.

God ideas..yes we must hv a point system but if everyone starts making new "irrelevant" threads just to win points then it'll be irritating naa? As it is, its very confusing as there's a new thread evry few minutes..... 😕

Yes, Unnati is right - it's going to be too much spamming.

As for giving out points, on several RP sites what they do is let the teachers of particular subjects give out points according to the grade you got in a particular topic.

We can have a particular topic in which the Mods will post saying, "10 points to (insert name here) for (insert whatever)"

There are many contests on IF-HP - the avatar contest, fanfic contest, i_luv_jay_sean's tasks, Guess The Member, those kinds of stuff. We can give out points to the winners. We can also have a certain criteria - if you start a topic that's thought-provoking and discussion-inviting, you can get some points for your house. If you post a particularly intelligent answer, you get points. Stuff like that. Let's brainstorm.

Hey I think thatz a gr8 idea.....

we really should have point system now that we're sorted into houses.... but one of us maybe Vijay can be dumby and sort the points according to the relevance of the topic. the depth it covers the topic. and the no of creditable replies they get.

I think this will reduce the no of spammers. coz it will be of no use if the topic itself is spam. no points!!!

but that will mean a gr8 deal of workload increase.... for the mods.
