Emma Watson splits from Burberry beau

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has called time on her relationship with Burberry beau George Craig, after jetting back to her US university last week.

Emma was rumoured to be dating the model and music front man after meeting him during a Buberry campaign, and the pair have since been spotted out and about at a number high profile events.

But it seems the summer romance wasn't to be, and the pair called time on their relationship following Em's return to Ivy League university, Brown.

'Emma and George made plans to try to make things work long distance, but it was not feasible. Emma knows this, but there have been tears,' one insider revealed.

This comes just days after George himself spoke out about the breakdown of their relationship, citing long distance as the cause of his split from 'very beautiful' Emma.

'We're into the same music and she's got a great, down-to-earth personality. She's also very beautiful,' the One Night Only rocker said of the star.

'We're not together at the moment because it's just not practical,' he said, adding that he's now back on the market. 'I'm no-strings attached, but I'm not, you know, a slut.'

Emma's kept a relatively low profile recently, after jetting arriving back in the US for the start of term.

But we're sure to see her back on promotional duty during the build up to the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which hits screens on November 19.
