Although yet to be confirmed by Warner Brothers (David Heyman said a few weeks ago they were "in negotiations"), actress Imelda Staunton has stated several times over the past two months that she will be playing Professor Umbridge in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix next year. In an interview with the UK's TV Quick magazine, Staunton said:
Dolores is evil, ugly and toadlike. Hoorah! I'll be most shocked when they say, "We don't need any make-up, you're fine!" I'm a fan of the books. We've got them in our house, so now my kudos has gone up enormously. Life won't be worth living if I don't arrange for my daughter to visit the set!
