he did so becuse shamli supported him always and did all for him, but when she didnt support him in the saloni hit and run case he became revengeful. he cudnt see the difference betn shamli hitting jayant( not killing him) to save her womanly honours and he becoming the cause of someone's death just because of his extrme callousness to human lives.
