Actually hum sab ki thinking is same about grey characters...I think these writers can't be so dumb..they have sold their show stating that Ranvir so grey but in reality he is the villain of the story...now when we are complaining about the d same..hence they are simply giving excuses or justifications and falling flat in doing so...it clearly shows that they really have no clue as to what a grey character really means

I think you're being a bit presumptive :) what ranvir will or will not feel will be shown as the story progresses. My suggestion is to wait for it and then decide if he is pure evil or not.
