Cliched romance - At the rate this is going I'm going to be leaving this show tomorrow. Ranvir falling for Aanchal? Puhlease. That's just not happening. And especially not so soon. So CVs can you please stop this so soon into the show and actually concentrate on building up to the romance at the right time? I'm not against romance. I'm just against it being so soon into the show especially with a character like Ranvir who looks at everything in terms of pros and cons, profits and losses.
It's too soon man it's too soon. I doubt he is in love. Ranvir Raichand is always planning and manipulating be it Aanchal, his brother or his employees. This guy is up to something. He is impressed by Aanchal which he has already admitted to. That is one RR truth that we can be certain of even if we cannot ascertain anything else about that man. I still don't want to comment on the romance element of the show but the show from the beginning was touted as a romance thriller so it is something we cannot avoid. Like you, I do feel it is too early for any kind of romance. I am very much enjoying the buildup to the games without any romance. The thing is, I can still see RR falling for Aanchal but it's Kabir who I don't see falling for her. I wonder how this man child will fall for the NGO aunty. So back to Ranvir - him caressing the shirts could be more like keeping them as a reminder of the problem that is Aanchal Srivastava and to help him train his thoughts. RR could be pretending his growing affections for Aanchal as part of his plan. Honestly, I don't even know anymore. This man is confusing, I can see why AS is always talking about how confusing the brothers are.
Aman - Aman is a smart lad, but he's also got the same stereotypes in mind that Mrs. Srivastava and Aanchal had. Aanchal is wrong to trust the Raichands so soon, though I do feel she's got some plan in mind for doing all this (as evident from the precap). At the same time I also feel Aman is smart, but missing a key point. Aanchal is going with Ranvir and the ones to hurt them are Sarika and Kabir. But would Ranvir let anything happen to them so soon into the game? If you think about it, Ranvir stopped the stones, took away the defamation case, and is working on keeping Sarika and Kabir calm. So while Aman is right to suspect the Raichands, he needs to suspect the right Raichands for it right now. Not all of them.
I keep wondering why the Srivastavas have trained their eyes on Ranvir solely and continuously only target him? What is it about that man that Aanchal continues to go after him and not the others who may be easier targets? Right now I get it, RR himself opened the doors, held Aanchal's hand and gave her the opportunity by pulling her in but even before this, it was always about RR. Why go after the man no one truly knows and not go for the likely easier target of Kabir Raichand?
Ranvir's tiffin - Call me crazy, but I felt this was good planning on Ranvir's part again. He had a tiffin ready so that he could appear relatable to Aanchal and come closer to her as well: Pull aside the rich background and I'm just like you. It's smart, but I also feel it's foreshadowing because Ranvir takes a bite of the food that Aanchal brings and reacts. It seems to say that in the process of trying to bring Aanchal closer to him, he'll also suffer setbacks, but minor ones.
This one got me. How smart and calculative is this man? He set up the whole tiffin thing to appear as an equal to Aanchal; we are one and the same Aanchal but oh wait not really, she loves her spices while you cannot handle them Mr.Raichand. To think that a man like RR does not like spicy food! I would have expected otherwise. A complicated man who loves challenges, who doesn't take the most obvious route in life cannot handle the explosion of many flavours that spices provide. He prefers his food plain, simple, and bland. I am adding this to his harmonica, and painting to keep track of as the show progresses.
Dharamchand's death - In a way the media is right. But it also leaves a second dilemma in viewers' minds. If one of the Raichands was actually involved with Meenu's rape and murder, then they found a scapegoat, fabricated the proof, probably paid him enough to accept the crime, and then got rid of him so that he would never open his mouth. On the other hand, if the Raichands are not behind this, then by killing Dharamchand, the mastermind behind this can leave the case until the time he/she wants to trap the Raichands in it by fabricating evidence. I also found it symbolic as it was shown while Ranvir questioned Aanchal and she deftly pushed it back to him. It kind of foreshadowed that not everything is as simple with Aanchal as it seems.
Why would the Raichands get Dharamchand killed? I get it, they didn't want to risk him opening his mouth but at the same time his death puts more doubt on the Raichands specifically Ranvir. Would Ranvir really do this then? Purposefully take AS to Mauritius and then get Dharamchand killed while she is distracted? She finds out and her doubt will once again be on Ranvir for that very reason.
Aanchal's stupidity - For a character that is supposed to have come in the top 5 in all law colleges, Aanchal is missing quite a few warning signs. (1) Ranvir knows what Aanchal thinks before she does. Case in point the coffee mug from yesterday as a sign of accepting the job offer. (2) He's appearing very relatable. After appearing so aloof, how can someone suddenly appear so relatable? (3) He's involving her in the business too quickly. Like seriously? Anyone, even if they were the coveted hire, is brought in slowly. Not thrown into a project so quickly. (4) He's created an "enemy" to please her. I stand by what I said yesterday. Gaurav is a villain, but I have a feeling Ranvir is doing a lot of this to save Gaurav. (5) Too much of a free hand. After being accused by someone, wouldn't Ranvir have been more careful even if he did offer Aanchal a job? Can she be so stupid as to not think about that? (6) Even after being relatable, he's showing off his wealth. He takes her to Mauritius in a private plane, takes her to his mansion there, and even gives her such an exquisite room to show off his wealth. And she falls for it like anyone would on being treated like royalty suddenly.
All these points about Ranvir. How does he do it? Aloof yet relatable, creepy yet cheeky, manipulative yet open, premeditating yet ignorant? Aanchal knows that the brothers are smart and dangerous but at this time she seems to be underestimating RR more than KR. Aanchal is so absorbed in her own agenda that she isn't accounting for Ranvir's chameleon like tendencies!
Kabir and Sarika - Today we got a glimpse into another relationship. So far we've seen Sarika pulling the strings and Kabir reporting to Sarika on finishing certain tasks. But now it seems it's actually the other way around. Sarika is more of a tantrum queen who wants only the best for Ranvir and it's up to Kabir to make things happen. I loved the way he calmed Sarika down in a twisted way, but still didn't let Sarika know of his plan just what the outcome would be.
Kabir is full of surprises. He appears to be an immature idiot on the outside but is in fact very cunning. No doubt he is petty but I find that lovable about him. The mother-sons relationships are quite intriguing. Sarika always has Ranvir's name on her lips but it is Kabir she is always with and talking to not Ranvir. We have only heard Sarika's love for RR but never really witnessed it in actions as in we have not seen them bond. On the other hand Sarika never speaks about Kabir but we always see them together.
So Kabir has a plan because he mentioned as much. Aanchal has a plan because she mentioned as such but what the hell is Ranvir up to?
Precap - I'm mixed on the precap. It might be real. He'll try to kill Aanchal, but actually leave her to take the fall for a bad deal, thus ruining her (Aanchal's stupidity all over again). This might lead to the real plot of the show of revenge and getting a "haq". On the other hand, it might be Aanchal's dream. She'll wake up and realize that she was wrong about Ranvir all along. I guess let's wait and see because both seem like the obvious answer.
No comments on the precap so I will close off with my 2 cents on the acting. The trio is actually fairly quickly getting into the skin of their characters. Nikita's expressions are no longer off, Vatsal's dialogue delivery has improved that he isn't hamming as much and Zayed has consistently been improving since the first episode. Kabir grows on me with every scene. He is so silly and fun. Aanchal is slowly opening up. Ranvir however, I still have no idea about. How is it that even after discovering things about him like his creative side (harmonica and paintings) and his taste in food that we still only know as much about RR as we did in the first episode?
