The theme of love has mystified many scholars.philosophers, writers and us mortals.

Laajo and Nikhil , and Ayesha too are going through this wonderful passage of life. We are lucky enough to see a modern masterpiece in Gustakh Dil, Years ago I read In William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, "Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind."

So dear friends the question to you is Nikhil looking at love with his mind? Or is our hero so traumatised that love is set to pass him by?

beautiful post...
love it and love Shakespeare quote as well.
Love is a blessing and Here in Nikhil's context it is sad in the sense he was made to believe a good friendship with a girl he was bit attracted to was love.
I feel Nikhil's love is this protective instinct he has about Laajo,a connection with her at level of his soul, he could sense her despair, and that calling of her heart. Her heart just calls him .See if he loved Ishaana he would have never married Laajo, his grandfather had given him time to think and even later he couldn't let Laajo go.
SO I feel Love will make Nikhil a man finally. He would grow up and be responsible eventually and stand by choices he makes. I feel Love will be Nikhil's strength and will make him a human being he is capable of becoming. And may be deep down he is that human being already, he just needs a direction that Laajo's heart will provide.
