I agree with you...I always thought that he was week in front of Barkha...and now we know even babuji...
When he couldn't stand for his sis and son how is he going to stand for laajo?

I disagree.. it is not weakness, it is love. When you love somebody so much , you do not want them to be hurt. This might not be true in Nikhil's case, but I think Inder is helpless rather then weak. But i strongly believe, when push finally comes to shove - he will have to show his presence.
I am not completely sure on Babuji' Inder's tiff, but with Barkha, i think Inder knows how fragile she is psychologically. he is scared of rocking that boat more and tipping it off. Unforunately his helplesenss is causing the kids not to use their dad for advice!

If we call Inder weak, then i think some aspects can also be seen of this in Lajjo and her dad. They are not ready to stand up and confront because they are worried about mum and society. But you would be amazed at how much the human heart is resilient and society does not give a damn after few days! Maybe they all will realise this sooner then later

But for now, the Sonabarsa water seems to churn out honest and kind individuals. Beautiful casting and acting from every single person
