Is Nikhil's dream a possibility or just a stupid unreal scenario created by the mind of someone who is too afraid and too embarrass to be seen with his wife but didn't want to admit it.

I think she would definitely have done something that was embarrassing (even if it was just her way of speaking - you know how these high society treat outsiders and those they consider their "inferiors") but hopefully not to the extent of Nikhil's dream...
