so...its that time of year again...

its the time to bring out the colors and the fun and have a blast!!

while i do want to wish all those celebrating a very happy holi...that is not the point of this post...because we already have that post created by our very own swamini5 😃..

no...this post is not about the wishes...its about the memories...

time to travel down memory lane and go back to previous holi festivities...as you do so...please share with us your favorite holi traditions...memories...and holi magic! of course...you are welcome to share some, not-so-great holi moments...we are family after all...he he...something embarrassing or something awkward...anything at all...please share!

Awesome post jaz!

But i'm really sad😭😭

I haven't celebrated holi ever, and it sounds so much of fun, arrrghhh i wish i could play with colors one day.

I have absouletly no clue about the customs and traditions.

@ amna: me too!! it looks like sooooo much fun...they always have a big holi celebration here in LA at one of the beaches...my best friend always invites me but i cant go cuz im always working...so that sucks...but one of these days...im gonna go!!

this will be my first holi with my brother after 10 years and me eagarly waiting for it 😆 😆

my bro friends came and we started playing holi in our house....Now home is COLORFUL 🤣 🤣

i got nice 11 eggs and 5 tomatoes hard beating on head and 2mrw it will be worst 🤣 🤣

2mrw we are going to start playing at 8 am till 2 pm 😆 😆

i know tomorrow will be BEST day in my life 😳

What an idea Sirjee...👏👏👏

I am sure once people are done with their revelry, we will get loads of responses😃

I didn't play holi per se but luvvvvvved to go visiting neighbours and friends in the evening and had lots and lots of "gujiyas" ....they are kind of sweet turnovers, filled with all the good stuff imaginable and deep fried😳

There is one incident though that my best friend still curses me for.........we had moved into the neighbourhood just recently and were not very familiar with the norms there...anyhoo, my friend came knocking asking won't you join us for the holi celebration....so I said sure, let me change..........went inside and changed into the brand new frock that Mummy had stitched and preened my way out of the house....................you can imagine what followed.....suffice it to say, there were tears and scoldings and my friend has not forgiven me yet for dragging her out of the fun so that she could walk me home😛😃😃

Yes, I was a dumbo!!! Well, I was in elementary school then.

holi is one of the best festival in India and love it 😳
