Hello Friends,

I have been giving some thought to this for some time now and finally decided to do a poll to see what the junta wants😃

As the thread "Country and Language....GKD is International" showed, we have forum members watching this show from all parts of India and the world. Also, Bhouji's dialogues create quite a bit of confusion from time to time. So the question arises, would you like a dedicated glossary/dictionary thread that attempts to translate the Magahi/Awadhi words/phrases in the show. It would draw upon the expertise and knowledge of all who would want to contribute and I would do the editing of the main page periodically. The other option would be a new thread every episode that has translation of the dialogues.

So tell me, any takers? Please answer by voting😃 and leaving a comment.

Lastly, but most importantly, credit for this idea goes to my dearest friend The May Rose, who runs a hugely successful glossary thread in Rang Badalti Odhani forum. Luv ya May 🤗and thanks for the inspiration.😃

The choices were supposed to read, and I am paraphrasing:

1. Yes, I would like a dedicated glossary thread

2. No, there is no need for a glossary thread

3. A translation thread would be better.

4. There is no need for either.

and bauji dialogues r totally confusing

half of them just go beyond any understanding hehe

my idea wud be now to put episode by episode thread as of now for bauji dialogues

later on once we have dev team we can think of making one topic sticky permanent so u can translate

if it gets sticky then vista u need to reserve second post where u can do edit
coz if u edit ur main post sticky wud come off

Thanks for the reply. You are right....it prob won't get to be made a sticky w/o the Dev team in place. Plus I messed up the poll answers😭....missed out including one option Any idea if I can amend the poll choices?

hmm try editing and see if u can add any more option
if u cant add which i have seen ppl complain
u can edit ur main post to include that option

very good idea. specially for me, coz i m not indian & i learned hindi from indian films that they have english subtitle . for example in latest episode , i didnt understand anything of bahujis word in next epi.
so it is very good for me
