Jzee, awesome post👏enjoyed reading it.loved the explanation for shaayad in the first scene.and in the 2nd scene I loved the way Kesar comes and says that he will take Gulaal to the mandir-ooh,the possessiveness😳and loved the brief eyelock.how do they do it?when they are together onscreen they make even the most ordinary scenes so special.Nowadays nothing on TV holds my interest like GK did😭
^^ Mini - you know I was recently reading something which talked about the fall out since the time of 'silent movies era'. And to quote the source - "The introduction of words and dialogues had quite robbed people of their expressions." - I think the one singular stand out factor about the fantastic actors and script of this show has been in terms of how much goes in between the characters, especially the leads, without the need of words! I love the fact that they leave that kind of almost certain impression of what the exchange was about, just between exchanged looks, and yet the 'almost' here gives so much scope to speculate exactly what all the expressions could encapsulate in accordance with the given situation... watching the 'eye-piece' conversations between GK, has been like the brilliance of watching a silent movie, where a lot of movement in track happens without conversation, and the whole deal of rub it in your face with OTT and repeated paraphrased dialogues doesn't spoil the subtlety!they are so close here but as Piu said it doesn't register in his mind at all😆^^ since I didn't actually get back to commenting on the caps so far, those are certainly my favorite part from the scene! Yes, as Piu pointed out, the fact that he doesn't actually form cognizance of the 'proximity' in his struggle to bear some semblance of control, all in vain - fantastic portrayal of the scene by NB, and a perfect as ever retention of Kesar's classic element to his character by the CVs... honestly, if we'd had any cognizance on his part, about the 'being close' aspect at this point - this would not be the show it was that we loved as much as we did! The writers on this show did not lose perspective of what had to be shown vs what could be exploited of every A, B, ... Z chance! Oh I love the throbbing and fast depleting control that NB portrays in this bit ... and let's not forget, not just Kesar, but Gulaal herself, for all her moments of becoming conscious or resorting to the likes of ghunghat defense, lol, forgets all else except that she should try and restrain him! And this is not just like old times ... he is a grown up male here, and yet, their 'comfort' in such a discomfited and absolutely high strung urgent situation - classic for a couple with the history they have!Randomly, I love exact moment you captured this one Nur
the colors are in transition between 'colors' and black and white, and the intensity of the second is SO well reflected here - has to be one of the best taken caps 👏Maz - belated as this is, you lay out the precedence in nuances of the scenes very precisely. Indeed, the whole reference to Gulaal being a widow, is exactly what Kesar tells her later - albeit with the intention of a pained well wisher, who wants her to move on! Then again, his defense of beating up the guys - and MB's retort to it, when you step into either's position, they're both quite right! MB has an objective point, which is 'correct', so to say - but do people in situations like Kesar was subjected to actually remained clinically detached and correct? Not really! It could take someone with a lesser than Kesar impulse to rise to offense, really, and Dushyant points out the same - except, too bad for him, Kesar must misunderstand the exact idea here 😆About Kesar's prayer not being shown - true, right! Again, one of those things which is quite predictable as to what it could have been, and still not explicitly putting it out for us sort of leaves that space for speculation of the viewer... I love the writers for how they make the viewer think, and think more, and then some more - for all these little little things! To me, Kesar might just have prayed for nothing at all in that second - his brother's dream was coming true, aka his Gulaal was in her rare moments of peaceful happiness in that sense... and just seeing her there before his eyes, in such normalcy, at this high point for their family - maybe he just dismissed the prayer with a thank you 😆 I might remember this incorrectly but didn't Kesar tell the idol of God later, when Gulaal had walked out on him and the house, that he'd never asked him for anything?! Cliche as that sounds, I suppose he never really did. He was too accustomed to throwing a tantrum with the mere mortals and getting his way 🤣---And everyone - we'll have a slight change in pattern of the GK scenes' threads from here on. Will post the new one shortly, and you'll see how =)
