"main anjaane mein tere hisse ka kha ke a gayi" so symbolic of how Talli did not know that the love she was asking of Kesar actually belonged to Gulaal...and much later , when she realised that , we have to grant it to Talli that she returned to Gulaal what was rightfully hers , like now she is feeding her "jiske liiye jo cheez bani ho, us tak pahuchni to chaahiye na ? Le.." ...she helped Kesar understand Gulaal and himself and take the final steps towards the selfless love that we saw towards the end ... Great point, VJ👍🏼...it's very true that there was heavy symbolism in this bit...especially with the 'main anjaane mein tere hisse ka khaa gai' and the 'jiski jo cheez ho, usi ke paas jaani chahiye' bits...and they basically sum up what Talli's role was in GK's lives...she was obviously a crucial cornerstone in many ways...a bridge b/w them in her own way and this scene showed that...ofcourse foreshadowing future times too like you said when Talli made Kesar realize that he couldn't force Gulaal into acceptance.

Ofcourse otherwise there were some random hitches in b/w like the scene b/w KT when Talli asks him to return the engagement ring...that was weird stuff😆

I am not a Talli fan - far from that - but I think if it was a third powerful artist (like Neil and Mansi) in Talli's role , we would have felt this dynamics more and it would have added one more (side) dimension to the GK relationship , just like GV and GD did .. I think Hally was quite apt for this role and did a great job for what she had...Talli was MEANT to be annoying in bits I think...the way they wrote her...and then surprisingly wise in some bits as they showed with her later guiding Kesar regarding Gulaal...ofcourse Neil and Manasi had more multi-dimensional roles to play in the form of K and G so they are on a different level...there could not be more to Talli than there already was.

(Dont beat me up guys, I am liking this yellow dressed Talli from the last two clippings😊 - she seems to be such a binding force between Gulaal and Kesar, at this point they seem to be using her so conveniently to realate to each other They always used her😆...she was always a common force b/w them...these three were binded together so interestingly since K and T's childhood...and it continued on...both Kesar and Gulaal have immense affection for Talli...Gulaal has mothered her always and Kesar has treated her like a bratty little sister/best friend...Talli ofcourse also always loved Kesar and Gulaal...basically these three were interconnected in a very complex way to drive the love triangle story and the writers milked it the max they could😆...and it was unfair to Talli on many levels that K and G used her so but there it is😆...she too was used as an arrow and shield from time to time by K and G...interestingly like Gulaal used Vasant's name/memories too.

Nur, lovely caps ! And loved your remarks , especially the name "Mr. Budtameez" , me likes it bhery much ...really suits Kesar in this phase ..."Mr. Budtameez" !

And I loved the way you described his walking in a "trance" and how the trance breaks the moment Gulaal looks up ..and the shutters come banging down ! Lovely description ..it all comes alive with the lovely caps.

My 3 favorite shots:

^^ This is the still where I love the symbolism of how Kesar, in his 'act' pf punishing Gulaal, has actually managed to cast himself as an outsider, in the life of his two thick mates. He's hurt them both in different ways, and in the end, he stands looking at the damage, the remedy, and of course his own conflicting blend of remorse and relief.

^^ Another step into symbolism. Gulaal, the truly hurt and wronged 'victim' has a the hint of a smile, Kesar has only gloom and guilt. Every time he inflicts the misery on her, it backfires like that - and I love how Gulaal is midway wiping her tear and Kesar's expression is almost like he'd extend his hand through that separating glass and wipe it off himself. A tear no one but he is responsible for. By the way, I love the symbolism of 'glass' for separation between these two here - its like there's a wall, but the transparency of their hearts in beyond such limitations. Even across the 'wall' between - which is like a representation of all the circumstances and doubts that stand between them - they know each others heart like that, transparently. They may not each understand the others 'facts' and 'reasons' at this point, but their hearts can see what their 'minds' try to wool out!

And the capture which shows solemn hurt Gulaal on the one side, and Kesar with a lowered head on the other for being responsible. Its like he knows her silent question - why - and he knows he can't give her the answer. Because his answer is going to be a why shot back at her. And he's not there yet, ready to confront ...

Much better now thanks Jzee and Nur 😃 My clumsiness doesn't help me! I really missed posting here 😳
Ok I have to talk about the whole reflection aspect...
I loved how they overlapped yet still seemed apart. Gulaal and Kesar have always been one entity in so many ways but their personalities were vastly contrasting. They've always showed the mirror to each other and I remember seeing this scene for the first time, hoping Gulaal would see Kesar's expression because it said so much. Maybe for the first time she saw something else apart from unexplained anger!! There was something else there for once but it wasn't clear. So the use of the window was so symbolic i.e. there is some other emotion behind that front he puts on. Just like Kesar never really believed his Gulaal could be in the wrong, Gulaal also never believed that her Kesar could truly hate her.
Talli was sweet, have to admit! LOL she had her moments :P Like others have pointed, her dialogues had that double meaning and summed up her role in KG's relationship.
The scene before where we see an excited Gulaal have her hopes shattered was HEARTBREAKING!! I still remember feeling really really bad for her especially when she emptied the dabba. Her initial excitement wasn't about going to her maayka but the fact that Kesar was taking her :( MP a class apart in these kind of scenes!

You're welcome, guys :-)

Jzee/Reemz: Beautifully said👏...especially about Kesar looking on almost like an outsider at his two best friends from the other side of the glass symbolizing the barrier, the wall of issues b/w him and Gulaal currently...you can see through it and it's fragile like glass...interesting.

@Reemz: Adding on to Gulaal's heartbreak after she realizes he didn't take her...I was thinking how these things evolve interestingly...such is Gulaal's destiny...she is a married woman officially so she can't go to her maayka on her own unless her husband takes her at this point...Who's the husband? Kesar is...who she doesn't technically consider her husband...Kesar is Kesar to her, period...but in this entire bit, it was all about a wife's expectations almost...Kesar was expected to do his duty as a husband and do this for her...but he didn't...cuz he wanted to hurt her, shun her...and Gulaal's situation is such, what can she say...why can't she go see her parents on her own? Interesting how these rules of society function, haina? The rules that Gulaal defied in many other ways too, most noticeable for the DV.

Watching Gulaal super excited to visit her home, all the preparations and efforts only to realize that he left her behind, such a heartbreaking scene. Somewhere she assumed Kesar would take her even if he wasn't on real talking terms with her, because she believed he would not disobey Motabha and Paanbaa's words. That bit when she is emptying the contents of the dibbe.....poor Galool.

^^ That was such a sad sequence Maz. She'd really been chirpy about it, a rare mood in this after a decade Gulaal, and I think it was a mix of both going home, and going with Kesar. Its like a little treat for - and she doesn't want herself to think about Kesar being unwilling, or having to do this as an order from MB, or anything - she only wants to revel in this break from the harsh dynamics... I think the idea of being in this together - paying a visit home - really peps her up more than she realizes!

Loved the window peeking, Kesar sees the result of his karm for the day, she is hurt and upset, but is smiling through her tears. talking about window, like how the saying goes that eyes are the window to your soul...yeah Kesar's eyes said it all!..

^^ well said Maz - it;s exactly how! I just said something along the lines, about how 'even the wall in representation between them' in this scene, was transparent! They knew each others heart beyond the limitation of not comprehending reasons at this point...

The parts where she is holding Talli's hand so tightly as talli feeds her...I think it meant, for once she feels quite alone, her Kesar isn't on her side, but at least there is Talli here, someone who paid attention to her for now...or maybe it meant that she just appreciated the fact that Talli was being sweet to her and was trying to cheer her up.

@bold - yes, she was in such dire need of some tender attention at this point, Talli is like god sent! And for once, Gulaal just leans on the support she gets. Wordlessly accepting of this affection she badly needs to revive!

Dear Jzee, loved your post ...and the following lines were mind blowing :

I love how the reflection of Kesar looking on to their endearing scene is almost reflective of how he has rendered himself an outsider here!

👏
what a brilliant observation, just loved it !
He was an absolute outsider to their affection ...an absolute outsider beyond access to his Gulaal and an outsider to his own self ,as, unknown to himself , he walked towards them ..drawn , as if he wanted to transcend that glass between them and be one with "them" ...with "himself" ...and most importantly, with "Gulaal"

Till, ofcourse, the trance - as Nur calls it - breaks and he snaps back into his lonely world...and moves away...back to his misery..
