I loved the episode! I liked the fact the last episode wasn't one that was rushed, The pace leading upto the final episode was well done, I like that Gulaal was slowly shown realizing her feelings for Kesar. I agree about the accident, I am glad that it was only a minor one but enough to really have Gulaal confront how she really feels for Kesar. I am going to miss this show

Thank you sukriti! I have to confess it was Neil, more than Mansi - who had me coming round to watch the show initially... I happened to catch a glimpse of the pareshaani scene - still can't remember where or how *shakes head at self* and I just thought he was powerful! In retrospect I can see Mansi was equally effective, but because the scene as such was more Neil oriented in dialog and delivery - and because I'd actually never seen him in anything before - he totally intrigued me... and I shall be so grateful about it! What a wonderful unparalleled experience i would miss, if I hadn't jumped onto this bandwagon!

Nithya 🤗 Thank you for being the ever faithful 'stalker' as you call yourself! 😆 Writing daily posts has become such an addiction, I have no idea what I'm going to do catching early dinner here on - since my evening class which clashed with Gulaal ended week before last! Its going to be such a void ... 😒 I suppose the forum will remain active for a while... but the idea of having no more episodes or fresh GK scenes... is just... sigh, hard to cope with.

SP still hasn't uploaded have they?

I really think most of the cast on this show was great. NB and MP are superb and they will definitely pique my interest should they reappear on the silver screen...
I am miffed that the show got a little bedraggled towards the end...but I am glad we the viewers got a good closure...

Though it is not the norm for Indian serials, I hope the production house considers editing footage and releasing this serial as DVD set... I have always felt that the serial is best watched in its entirety and that the story could be told even better in 1 hour episodes...oh welll...

Tri - you do remember rightly about my MFA - and hallelujah to your words about me writing something this good. I wonder if I can... there has been such expertise in storytelling in this show - dealing with a theme so delicate, and characters so complex ... they have does so much justice! I wont say there have been let down episodes - especially the couple in the final week - but I have to admit watching Gulaal has been a very satisfying experience. They have had a superb team of editors, writers, cinematographers, actors (OfC!) and just everyone on cast and crew... the team has done spectacularly well - for being a daily show, for being a rather dicey theme in terms of being accepted, for casting some veteran actors instead of going for 'popular' faces, for maintaining a quality of dialog and script in general! And most of all - for having a plan from the start, and sticking to it, upto the end!

ps: I second your idea of DVD release. Maybe we should leave messages on Mansi's blog for it - it certainly seems worth the cause, and if ever there was an Indian show worth such release!

Thank you! 😳 I hope there will be another show to live up to this standard... although my hope is not exactly hopeful... I tried to spend the last hour browsing through the channels and other show forums on IF ... as Reemz once said some weeks ago, I feel just this far from wanting throw something at the screen. I'm afraid if I try to be 'active' in discussions on any other forum, I will soon earn some 'hater' label for myself... The standard has been set so high, and met with so well by this team...! I'll hope a little more brightly to get to watch these two - Neil and Mansi - on some new shows soon... It'll be some solace, I suppose...

I agree! Although we've had some tremendous pace in the show through the last two weeks - most justified, but pace indeed - today was step by step. They managed to show considerable content and cover quite a few facets, not to mention bring in so many old links through dialogs and props... It was an overall well sealed package for a finale ME. Kinks here and there - but no complains!

The build up for GK confession was extremely well scripted, and the scene itself met all the standards and much more!

btw I also got hooked on to this show with that pareshaani scene and that too coz of Neil's performance in that

And I actually went back to check my oldest post on this forum - its from 12th June... So I actually got aboard watching 'live' episodes only close to the time Gulaal left the haveli first time, after Kesar's love confession. I've watched the rest of the show in retrospect - by catching up scenes here and there in no order! I should glad I still managed to find it anyway... sigh!
