Yeh Jzee...I was warned thankfully! =))

But you know...I never expected Gulaal to not take Kesar for granted. It all comes back down to this haq factor. She can treat him however because she treats herself quite crap too. Gulaal will put others before herself and Kesar because she knows she has that right to do so.

Honestly, what are these ppl playing at? The whole hum-saath-saath-hain reunion was pure torture and frankly too Ekta-ish for Gulaal. And how could Gulaal notice Kesar's absence...she's busy putting the world in its place...oh this woman frustrates me sometimes with her mahanta ke daure...damn annoying episode!

Even Kesar's 'saatvein aasman' line didn't make it up for me. Though, like you said, as cheesy as that line was, from Kesar it was almost like a fact. She's like a drug in his system...the only person who balances his life, him...he can't function without her in his life. The guy is still hoping, hoping against hope, that she would come back to the house, to him by some miracle...even if not as his wife. But today Gulaal kinda crushed that out of him too. It's killing him not to see her beside him, not in the house, in the village where they have lived together...he can't stand it anymore...and so, as per the precap, Kesar has decided to leave...to escape from her memories. I know it won't come to that, if one goes by the article...but supposedly even if he does go back to sheher...I don't think that would make much of a difference to him as far as his Gulaal obsession/love/absolute devotion is concerned.

Btw nice post.

I never thought I would be so annoyed with an episode of Gulaal especially at this juncture..after last week's fantastic episodes..

the first thing she does after she wakes up is call Talli?!..she could have called Kesar.. inquired about the family through him...grrr...

Kesar turning up with the dhol..very random...but I agree the cheesy line did seem perfect to describe his emotions..and she burst his bubble...

Kesar wanting to get away from the village...is just like the same way he left home 10 yrs ago..go away from the pain that Gulaal has caused him..back then he was shocked confused..sort of betrayed..and now he's just extremely hurt...

Edit: Just read the latest article...even after Kesar has an accident...she needs Vasant to tell her it's OK to love?!! *majorly disapppointed*

Didn't like today's epi...i always thought sudha, raman, kullia are the fillers but now i've realized GK is the filler for CVs😡actually the main leads of the serial are not gulaal & kesar, its vasant & talli, talli & only talli😡
& did u notice kesar said " mein kal chala jaoon ga", it means v r going to get another crap epi tomorrow. tomorrow's epi will only be about talli & her monkey-in-laws😡 accident will happen on friday , realization on saturday woh bhi after vasant's re-entry😡
I m sooo *@$#*% off😡😡😡

Okay back !

Nithya - that seems like the only strategy to not be disappointed at the moment.

Tri - WORD. It was really 'that' bad sitting through the first 25 minutes. No kidding.

Ganga - You've summed it all up perfectly. Everything that was so out of line and why!

VJ - your PS makes me so sad :( Its true. Like I said, if she played pretend for him, then it just wont be classic GK - and yet... I was so disappointed to not her find her eyes look once around for him... it was almost like his dhol reminded her he exists, and wasn't around... The CVs could have given us a flickering gaze of a reaction from Gulaal/Mansi, and I would have said much less.

Reemz - Dude! its not just about taking him for granted ... its the build up of last week... after the mandir scene, the telephone sequence, even more importantly the pheras and her realization - the fact that she came to the house played all patch up was one thing... the fact that her eyes didn't seek him out ONCE, was just plain wrong - out of line, and uncharacteristic. That wasn't taking him for granted - it was equivalent in a sense to forgetting his absence... like I said, you have to watch to know how much space was wasted... and how little those end moments made up ... on the contrary, it made me think all the more of why the CVs couldn't intersperse the long 25 unbroken torture family drama with only seconds of nuances from G and K, and it would have made 10X more sense. This just fell flat. The entire idea of the accident is to get Gulaal out of her taking Kesar for granted mode - so her taking him for granted, the VJ says, in her extreme apna pan of him where she nearly ceases to differentiate between herself and him being two different people is what I'm okay with, even if it makes me sad - but such stark ignorance was just too much to digest.

Srush - LOL @ reminding us Kesar is the ladies man! You're right man, aaj jab hona mangta tha among women, to dhol pakda dala bichare ko!

Lolali - I share your apprehension about Vasant comeback - even though I've resigned to the accident happening as means to get some GK

Alanta - OMG :(((( your sum up makes me so much more sad !

incandescence - although I didn't quite entirely manage to touch the 'saatvan aasman' today at any point, the fall from that almost touched peak in those seconds of GK sure felt as raw as Kesar's ... its just hard to imagine how much nonesense there was in terms of dialogs and writing today - even for a patch up family sequence, they just went wayyy overboard with SF bits, and OMG PB - don't even get me started, even Kanhaji's statue can manage better expression than her! I'm compelled to say JK was saving grace to some very superficial drama of nearly the entire episode... even MB was (as Srush said in her post) very very airy and not touching... such a rare thing to happen, but!

Maz - bingo! you brought out the perfect parallel - yes, Kesar seeking escape is just like last time, except, backi then it had been a silently rebelling boycott of sort, he couldn't stand her presence and be reminded of the betrayal - this time, he can't stand her absence glaring at him like that... not that running away will help, if it didn't in a decade of hating her, how can it now, when his love is like a broken damn!

Anyways here are my thoughts from the EDT
I dont think anyone will agree or like and so on but thats cool, but i will put it down and so on

I personally liked this episode - it was all about Gulaal and the family coming together - it needed her and only her (as Talli so well said to her, she is the ghar ki jeevan ki dor of that house and the parivaar), the very thing that Gulaal has wanted and today she has seen such togetherness coming in, from all of them - that each person is happy and contented and at peace... from Gulaal's pov, she feels she has achieved atleast something after so long and maintaining this for so many years

Gulaal being back in that house, felt like life has come back, she really is the soul of that house, the very foundation
As for Kesar, less said about the dhol, i will always prefer Vasant with the dhol and the dhol player, Rahil does it so well
Precap - I dont know whether to be sad or disappointed, i kinda always wanted Kesar to step up as a son and take control of his family, in the sense - do what an elder son should do, am i not saying be like Vasant, but then again Vasant was something else - he had selfless dreams and ambitions for his family and village, how can that ever be wrong. Kesar needs to i dont know stop running away from his family even if at this point Gulaal is not there. Take on responsibility of his parivaar... and the village as well, coz MB cant do all alone and i really dont have many hopes on Raman as much, but Kesar should realise he is THE son of the house in a way...
This show has always been about everyone together, working as a whole cast, i always said this show works as whole coz everyone in a way interacts, but obviously the other main story was Kes-Gulaal, it has always been the family-centred show with Gulaal and the parivaar, so i can see why the episode are having the family and so on, i am use to it from ages

Somebody needs to stop Kesar from leaving. So Destiny will stop him with accident. But independent of that Gulaal should realize how much she loves Kesar.

The Vasanth dream is only what Gulaal's subconcious mind telling her to wake up to reality I guess.

Just how I feel about this whole mess that is Gulaal's and Kesar's life.

There is so much hurt one can take so one has to leave , to recalibrate one's feelings.

"Love means exposing yourself to the pain of being hurt, deeply hurt by someone you trust."

bleaghhh!

I did NOT like this epi!😡...The family reunion crap...so torturous cuz I can't STAND the shakals of that PB and co. crowd now...and it was all almost too Ekta/KJo-ish mahaan cheesy family reunion types.

In one line I'd say the FLOW is GONE...the flow that was working so beautifully till last Friday and even Monday is just GONE in the last two epis *heavy sigh*...the GK bits feel like random TUKDE thrown in...there was build up happening till Fri/Mon...now suddenly it's all POOF.

I have to disagree...and not because I consider this show to be only about Kesar-Gulaal...I know that all the elements, characters have to come together but today's epi didn't feel CONVINCING...the WAY this mahaan "reunion" happened didn't feel convincing and felt more like a Gulaal the Mother Teresa in action exercise.

And honestly when the Kesar-Gulaal angle was being built up steadily since so many days, how can that connection suddenly VANISH from two epis?? It utterly breaks the FLOW...the GK scenes have become AFTERTHOUGHTS in the last two epis...I'm majorly disappointed. This was the time to continue with the build up and instead they've changed tracks and gone ahead with some "hum saath saath hain" family reunion stuff...

Now magically Gulaal will realize in the last epi to tie up the GK thread...but that will be such a sad waste of such an epic buildup *shakes head*...and we were so close to reaching that glorious culmination...but now it seems it was all just a dream...just like all other shows, this too will be a hurried culmination not doing justice to what Gulaal-Kesar have been *sigh*

If i am honest Nur, i found not just the flow and but also the essense-ish of the show gone ages ago (probably in my case around about-ish and after the time i stopped doing posts, maybe coz i also de-tached myself from this show as well) and its kinda even more now since you can tell bits and pieces seems so missing from the story and i dont just KG wise but also family wise, i mentioned it once few weeks back in the EDT - that i dont know if its me, but i am just not sensing that essense and something is missing, something i couldnt point to
