Honestly, ever since Dushyant's truth was revealed, I've wanted Gulaal to come to accept/marry/re-marry/whatever Kesar disregarding like you or nur said, that family. And today, NOT!Paanbha made me want that 100X more. If anything that woman deserves to have it shoved into her face, look Gulaal has chosen to stay with your son, whether it be by not breaking the DV (which won't be the case, as it will break), or them choosing to get married with or without the family present (up to the family).

But it really goes more than that. It's just she needs to do it. Do what she wants and needs, without worrying about how it will look to the family, or how it will affect them.

As for Raman. I laughed out loud yesterday when I saw his corny, ridiculous attempt at "apology' and wondered why the CVs reduced the show to showing something so dumb as this. But afterwards I thought that it actually makes sense. Would you expect him to actually GENUINELY repent and speak words of regret? The dumb gesture is an easy way out, and Sudha being Sudha accepts it.

If i had my way though, he would grovel and grovel, but still everyone including Sudha gives him the cold shoulder.

Let's say you and I are a common mind at that - Raman and Sudha's presence yesterday miffed me enough to actually just sleep over my first watch of the episode and come back next morning to make a more objective post about what I had liked - which was GK obviously. Just like you, my complain was - for a show of this standard and realism, did we actually need the happy ending culmination for RS? Why is Raman not doomed to isolation as he deserves? People like him don't change - and I swear if JK forgives him, which she probably will, it will the last straw to his track... I wish they'd kept it real like the rest - made him an outcast who would repent for an day or two then fall back to old habits and die a nasty way, an early death at the hands of some gambling party ... really, that would have been as real as it gets. Anyway. I put it past me, cause GK can always distract me enough.

But everytime they do show his face - as they did today too, grrr - I think of why we're getting his scenes and not something more firm on Dushyant front?

As for PB today - gosh the woman when she told Kesar she was only waiting tomorrow to get her son back - the look in eyes said nothing to her, and she just becomes every reason he should not care about leaving them behind... I miss old PB - but that said, I also have no idea why this character is given some very wrong lines, exceedingly out of character for her! MB is miffed at Gulaal too - and he has shown his sheer resentment very much in tuning with the character he has been shown as. PB just appalls me over and over. Not even funny. And yes, we can be sure she will remind Kesar how she told him Gulaal would ditch him too, and see she has. I can hardly imagine myself bearing Kesar's plight at that point - why again must he go through this because Gulaal still wants to play the thoughtless martyr?! Well at least we know it wont be a drag situation, cause there's only just over a week!

Regarding NOT!Paanbha (as I will always call her), I think the CVs saw the actress' ridiculous Saas Bahu portrayal and just said -- Eff it, let's just go with it.

Because honestly the first time I noticed an uncharacteristic line was her implication of having an "eye" towards Dushyant. Till then, I thought the script was fine, but the actress was not bringing the subtlety required.

So I could see the CVs just deciding to go it, since even good lines would be butchered by her.

I don't necessarily blame them for the bad re-cast, because we don't know what circumstances led to the recast and how much time they may have had to find a new actress. (Though this leads me to something I've been wondering for a while: why the Hindi serial Production Houses don't draw up contracts for their actors. True, that would mean having a general idea of how long the show would go on--or you know having a general outline in place. But in so many shows there are recasts within a year. But then again, the whole system is messed up from the channels either cutting shows short or running them too long, etc etc)

Raman, the less said the better. I totally agree with you on being annoyed at him seeming to get away with it all, and getting his "happy ending."🤢

OMG...what can I say. You have written everything I was feeling. Can I say as a teacher of English literature that you paint a wonderfully vivid picture for us of the characters' emotions. Reading your interpretation is almost better than watching the video. I am an unabashed romantic and so praying for the ending I want...today I cried and cried for Kesar. He just tugs at my heart. Thank you for your post...I truly appreciate your analysis and writing! Brava!

I sort of think that's what happened. They probably realized, sensible lines or not - she'll make a vamp of that character, might as well give TRPs a reason to rise the traditional way, yeh?! 🤢 And yes, it started when she accused Gulaal of having intentions for Dushyant - she's been out of line with her character since. And not just with regard to Gulaal ofc. The old PB would not scare away guests, or order around an elder like SF, or be bidding MB the way she did - much less tell Kesar to leave, if that's what it would take to get rid of Gulaal... She's been contradicting the set image of PB out and out - her expressions add a high point to the disgust she can evoke 🤢

Thank you 🤗 and welcome aboard! A teacher of English literature - I already like you very much!!! 😳

Kesar broke many more hearts in addition to Gulaal's today - and how! His little rancid laugh, the looking momentarily heaven ward almost, before telling Gulaal why he's laughing, how his fates wont let him share the space of a mere picture with her even - just hits you! The impact of that scene, despite knowing we're getting our happy end, is so strong - which is brownie points to the actor and script. As I've said before, he's lived his life playing second fiddle for the woman he loves - second to Vasant, second to the family, at occasions even second to Dushyant, and so often second to Talli... there's a limit to how far he will blindly believe in his belief of being made for each other - he's resigned to a fate where he doesn't deserve her... and that he' be cut out of a picture is almost a sign to him at this critical point. The way he follows it up by asking her kal kya hone wala hai ... is like he's dying to hope but knows he can't... Gulaal's simple answer at this point could relieve him of spending a night of agony wondering, despite all his strict bidding to not wonder but only accept! And then the look in his eyes when she says in the precap that she wants to break the DV is every indication of the latent hope which his heart could not but secretly harbor - which with a final verdict comes crashing down... oh tomorrow will be another sad day - sad, and brilliant.

You know I am amazed because according to the story Gulaal has known Kesu since he was a child so that equates to a comfort level. It is amazing to see that same comfort level between MP and NB...and I am sure that must have been very difficult to portray. On top of the comfort level, Gulaal's relationship with the older Kesar had to move up and above comfort to show a certain extent of attraction, a bond that would convey them as soul mates and of course the sexual tension...after all, Kesu is attracted to her and all that was done brilliantly in the pareshaani scene. Till that point, we had seen Kesu looking at Gulaal admiringly but that one pareshaani scene moved their chemistry ten notches higher!!

Very true, Anjal...Truly it's kudos to both MP/NB that that crucial evolution in GK's relationship was SO beautifully shown...honestly the fact that this show has managed to show those developing facets to GK's relationship...the attraction, the deepening of the bond, the sexual tension, the passion...all of it in such a CLASSY manner without resorting to cheap gimmicks...that is one major impressive thing to me...there are so many elements to their relationship but they all flow so seamlessly together...from the comfort level since Kesar's childhood to the point they've reached now...and the actors never fail to give a nod to the history of the bond either...you can always see glimpses of their early bond along with the layers added on today.

Ok commenting a bit on the rest of the epi since I didn't really get around to it in the high of the GK scene...lol

Did Kesar tell Gulaal about that driver and his truth before he went to MB?? Cuz it seemed like he was all disheveled and was beating up the driver all the way to the house...lol...but then later on when he talks to Gulaal, it seems as if he told her beforehand and then they probably discussed him going and telling the family her reason for hiding the truth? Did they figure that the driver's truth would make a difference? I guess they did.

Anyways, narrative-wise I though it was a good way of moving the story forward without drawing the scenes out...and Kesar firmly telling Gulaal that that door has been shut once and for all...

It's interesting that Gulaal is wearing the same outfit in the panchayat scene that she was wearing "three months" back when the three month trial period decision was first given...

@ ZJypher , Absolutely loved your post

@Nureat01 , your caps are so wonderful , this time more wonderful even ..words dont suffice...because the moments were so beautiful and your caps captured them all...I want to keep them oin my heart...

And everyone who has replied and responded and shared their own views, I am fully with you...I have read every post today like rarely before...

But let me tell you guys , my heart is absolutely broken today and I am finding it very hard to say anything at all... I am finding it sooo hard to lift my spirits up ...Kesar is so adorable and Gulaal so out of reach , even to herself ... I cant take it to see these two in this pain anymore..
.its unbearable...unbearable... I cant take this much of pain..

I feel like sitting down and howling...

Because this damn show doesnt feel like a show at all... not with Kesar -Gulaal on screen ...they make it look so real it impacts you so deeply...

I keep telling myself "its just a show" , "its just a show" and it doesnt seem to work...

@bold - Nur, I think the fact that every step of intimacy between these two has been reached with so much history and record, so much evident justification without 'wording' it all the time in your face - when we do get a crushing hug, or a moment of strained air between the two seating several feet apart - it falls into place like the most obvious thing to happen! All those moments that we just want to get into the screen and make one hug and pat the other are so strongly projected - the tension is like a live wire ... and then there are those moments where it's all about the words... if verbal love was ever so strong - these two have immortalized quite a few confessions of their own! And let's not even got to all that their silent looks manage to speak - as Reemz likes to say, they don't have eyelocks, their moments of sharing looks are like pieces of conversation...

Extremely, extremely impressive!
