Ok so whenever they're on my screen, I have a huge smile as I'm sure you all do because it's Gulaal-Kesar after all. I do, I do, I do.
But now is not the time for their scenes to be cut short when they could have a better closure. The 'Ludo scene', I was like chalo it's ok...we'll get more of scenes way but now when we have just over two weeks it doesn't seem enough. I officially declare that I don't really care to see the other characters on-screen anymore except maybe MB but I find myself looking at the clock when he speaks too slowly 🤣 I'm like thora jaldi bolo na so we have more room for GK but obviously it's not his fault. Trust me, I swear, he is all the time breathless like he is counting his last minutes on death bed and talking like he has short term memory loss within a minute. He forgets, recollects and continues his dialogue. My colleague watches the show when her child sleeps. She says she is all the time worried that her child would wake up before he speaks up within the timeframe which she feels is like an eternity. So much for getting on her nerves with his dialogue delivery.
Things I loved...
1) Kesar picking Gulaal up. I found it really cute for some reason. There is something about their body language which comes out effortlessly. Same here, he picked her up like a small baby or toy that belonged to him. More like picking a tantrum throwing child
2) KG walking in the dark with a light shining at the back creating their shadow. Very well shot! Gulaal fumbling and Kesar holding on to her, again symbolism of what he is to her. Yes, her faltering steps are guarded by Kesar now.
3) Their 'Griha Pravesh' which was beautifully highlighted and also reminded me how GV did NOT have this privilege (Because of Kesar of course). Thanks to Kesar. Knowingly or unknowingly through him, destiny had set a future for them
4) Kesar turning the light on (symbolism phir se). Him telling her to clean the house and hallelujah his stupid remarks make her smile 😳 Everything and anything he does to make her smile brings a smile to my face automatically. Agree with the symbolism..100%. I like how he was coughing as he cleared the dust.
5) Bechari Gulaal fell asleep out of exhaustion. Time and time again, I am reminded how she unknowingly takes Kesar's presence in her life for granted. He must be really tired too (though not as much as her with the amount of crying she has done recently :( ) but he still continues to clean the entire house so she can rest. And this time, she does not go OTT like usual women of the saas-bahu types and actually dozes while he worked. Equality again. Now seriously I am reminded of the new show's promo. PB callled him as Joru ka Gulaalm, indirectly, but Kesar believes in equality. Why did they want a whole new show for this concept.
6) Now this moment may seem trivial but I really liked how Neil (I'm going to mention the actors here) leaned on Gulaal's chair, pulled it towards him which ultimately woke her up. I don't know why it just stood out to me instantly! It did and it was quite cute and natural. A dialogue was avoided and the scene was so natural. Him leaning on to the chair and unknowingly dragging her along due to the force while she wakes up. he doesn't say sorry for it, she doesn't mind it too and does not apologise for dozing off. Sweet and cute.
7) Then the whole job issue which we saw in the precap yesterday anyway. Was he holding her hand while saying it?? Yes he was, he was caressing her hand and reassuring her with a soft yet firm hold. Now this can be called CHEMISTRY. Nothing over the top to force a chemistry between the characters of the show. Effortless chemistry between the actors.
8) Gulaal telling Kesar not to leave her at night reminded me of the time when Kesar was afraid of the dark. Role reversal kind of here too! The only person she can trust and depend on is Kesar! He must have been REALLY hungry man :( I doubt he's been eating properly anyway but after all that cleaning, no water...no food...just for her! It is not the actual darkness but the thought of being left alone even for a short time. It is the solitude that bothered her. In his presence, it did not matter. Again she did not go about with her guilt in making him go hungry, rather she exerted her rights over him by requesting to stay back though she knew he cant bear hunger.
9) I liked the shot of them sleeping on the chairs. They're tired so they don't take their time to hit the sack! But please no more sleeping like that! Ab ho gaya na!There is a BED there and I'm sure they trust each other enough to share one bed at least. Trust each other enough...I can't comment. I think she trusts Kesar but I am unsure if Gulaal trusts herself now with him. I know it is mean of me to write this, but ...
Rest of the episode...I don't really care about as I said. I feel what the writers need to do is turn these cute moments in to charged moments like they did with the mouth cupping scene! But I'll let them off simply because GK were too tired to do anything!😛 Yeah I get it
P.S. Nur I don't know if the episode made you happy or not but I don't really want to call myself Champa!
