Suraj ne 6 bajaye, aur Gulaal aangan mein Tulsi ko paani de rahi thi. Soch mein doobi thi ke yeh ek hi din mein kya ho gaya. Woh issi soch mein (inhouse)mandir ki taraf chal padhti hai. Mandir ke runway ke frame mein ek taraf se Gulaal enter hoti hai aur doosri taraf se Nai PaanBa, dono pause karte hain, phir junhi music shru hoti hai (They should have used the soundtrack from Jaws) Peeche se Nai PaanBa aik dum se gas pedal duba kar clutch chodti hai (she is manual) rubber (thigh) burning smell bhi aati hai aur Gulaal ko intercept karti hai aur kissi traffic sergeant ki tarah haath lamba kar ke rokti hai. Gulaal ek dum ruk jaati hai. (Aisi cinematography kahan dekhne ko milti hai) Shahyad woh speed limit se zyada tez ja rahi thi. Gulaal soch mein padh jati, hey Mawri yeh mein Gulaal ke set par hi hoon kya?? Nai PaanBa apne chehre ko gussay ke expressions mein itna sakht karti hai, ke uska chahra aadmion ka sa lagne lagta hai.
Nai PaanBa thoda pause de kar kissi WWF wrestler ki tarah mudhti hai. Munh par aur gussa lay aati hai, Christopher Lee yaad aa jata hai bas moonchon ki kami thi. Gussey se munh itna laal kar leiti hai jaise wohi gulaal ho. Gulaal bechari ka rang hi pheeka padh jata hai uss ke samne.
Phir woh apne thode daanth peesti hai aur ghurrati hui awaz mein kehti hai ke "teri itni himmat ke tu iss pawan jaga par aa gaye". Kya gulaal rawan ki cheli ban gayee hai kya? Phir uss ne permission ko revoke kar diya. "ab se tujhe yahan aane ki ijjazat nahi hai" membership card bhi wapas maang leti.
Gulaal bolne ki koshish karti hai "Ba .. ek baa.."
Nai PaanBa uss ko tok deiti hai. She does not want to see her face. Whereas we don't want to see her face. Par humari kaun sunta hai.
She reads her rights, MotaBha orders and then announces her extent of stay and brings out the Deeyar-Vatoo issue. Futher clarifying the terms and conditions and the fringe benefits minus Bahu ka adhekar, Ijjat aur pyaar. Her expressions through out this dialog delivery were fanastic and multifold. Her eyes gave an expression of surprise. Her mouth like a gangster threatening the sheriff and her nose.. forget it.
It was Just In Time for Sarru Fui to hear it. and she just picks up the leading statement 'Gulaal Deeyar-Vatoo thod rahi hai'
Gulaal turns around at SF voice as if 'ab ye kahan se aa gayee hai' or "you too Brutus!", Sarru Fui starts to walk towards Gulaal on the beat of tabla played in the background and stops after a couple of step, bechari cannot walk and Nai PaanBa nods her head sideways, SF ne bhi sunn liya. Our first impression was that she still would want to cover it up but afsoos it was not a lasting one.
SF repeats and grinds it for the sake of clarity so that whatever she is going to say after that she has not mistaken the baseline statement "Gulaal, tu Kesar ke saath apna deeyar-vatoo thodna chahiti hai?"
Nai PaanBa speeds up to get next to SF and confides 'Haan Sarru Behan mein yeh sach aap ko baata kar aapka dil nahin dukhana chahti thi." and (then decides to give her a heart attack) within the same breath she adds "succh to yehi hai ke Gulaal aaj tak Kesar ke saath sirf natak karti aaye hai." With different camera angle Nai PB gives a different look. Thats what you call a versatile actor!!!
"Iss ne hamesha se yeh dhong rachaya hai, ke woh jo bhi kar rahi hai, iss parivaar ke liye kar rahi hai" this was mainly to counter the feelings of SF which she had about Gulaal. Then she further blames her about her motives were not known to her (possibly old PaanBa knew)
She accuses that Gulaal has used Kesar and then suddenly a mosquito sits on her forehead and she slaps her forehead to kill it. What a hunter!!
All this time Gulaal does not even know what expressions to give what to hold and what to drop.
Then Nai PB goes for a final kill by saying "woh mere liye baimaani ki misaal ban gayee hai, misaal. (it rhymes with Gulaal) Here I must admit that even I thought bass yaar bahut bol diya hai iss aurat ne and iss ko kehtay hain Baa Baa Black Sheep.
Gulaal apni iss tarah tareef sunn kar khushi ke marey aansoo nikal daitee hai. (I guess so!)
Now when Sarru Fui sees that Nai Paanba has done the initial damage and is probably out of dialogues she takes the baton and starts by asking, "Gulaal tu ne ye sab kaise kya?" for a moment I thought she is admiring her (she might be coming from a different saas bahu show, where the bahu is not allowed to go to this extent without getting caught) But I was wrong. She continues
"Arre kitna bharosa kya tha mein ne tujh par" she adds, is she talking about the trust she had in her about bearing a son for 500 acres??
"Jab se aaye hoon iss ghar mein, paaghlon ki tarah, tere aur Kesar ki shaadi shuda zindagi ke liye duaein maang rahi hoon" (paaghlon ki tarah???) well it would have been fair to Gulaal that at this stage if SF would have slapped Nai Paanba for not telling her about it and letting her make a fool of herself.
"Tum dono ke bache ko laiker sapne bun rahi hoon" well doesn't fit, normally auratein sweater bunti hain aur woh bhi ooon se. BTW ye bacha kahan se liya SF ne. "Aur tu??? tu ne itna bada natak kiya hai mere saath" waisay kehti to theek hi hai. Kesar rokta raha ke Gulaal ye matt kar, leikin Gulaal was doing it for the sake of MB, GK and NaiPB. Un ke jhoot ko cover karne ke liye. tsk! tsk! jin patton pe takia tha, wohi pattay hawa denay lagay.
"arre sharam bhi nahin aaye tujhe." SF is now getting pissed off, "ye sab kartey huay"
Nai PB ne baimaan kaha aur SF ne besharam. Well done Gulaal you have been nominated in two categories.
Gulaal in this scene makes a second attempt to talk "Sarru fui"
"Mutt kaho mujhe Sarru fui" SF snubs her with a bang.
"koi nahin hoon mein teri" SF goes into a state denial too.
"meri umeedon ke saath mere jazabat ke saath mazaak kya hai tu ne" I guess she should be nominated for the prankster category?
She ends ups with the official charge "tu ne toh har tareeka se hum sab ko dhoka diya hai" Is it not against that saying "you can't fool all the people all the time?"
She then comes out with a final blow under the belt by talking about Vasant ki aatma ko takleef. If Vasant's aatma would be listening to his mother and SF being the elders of the family it would be already in excrutiating pain.
I think that a mosquito sat on her forehead too, but she just pressed it to squeeze it to death.
Then there was an expression exchange between Nai PaanBa and Gulaal in alternating frame shot and maybe its just my perception, I thought they were both smiling especially Nai paanba making fun of SF emotions. Remember Gulaal and PB go together a long way back.
And final nail in the coffin comes from her as "mera bhrosa thod diya tu ne"
Gulaal is speechless, clueless and acting as any other typical bahu on shows. Roti ja rahi hai.. (kiss show mein phans gayee hoon) she is bound to get dehydrated.
Because of her old age, SF is having a hard time in recalling her dialogs or she is giving time to Gulaal to give her expressions by moving her head up and down brings tears in her eyes.
"Mein sab se kaha karti thi Bahu ho toh Gulaal jaisi" (it reminded of the dialog from BigB movie, "mouchain hon toh NatwarLaal jaisi.") SF is admiring Gulaal, which other bahu could have done all these unique things for her family.
She adds with another delay of 10 secs "Par tu toh bewafai ki aur vishashghaat ki misaal sabit hui hai'
Now the title song can be changed
Baimani ki misaal hai, gulaal hai
Bewafai aur vishwasghaat ki misaal hai. gulaal hai
kesar, talli aur kunaal hai, gulaal hai
kiss ki beizzati ka khayal hai, gulaal
I think this is how Star Plus is changing Gulaal perception amongst their viewers from the time they wanted to start the show and to the time the want to end this show. Gulaal ko burra bana (degrade) kar hi bandh karen ge.
While both these ladies are standing together and taking turns on Gulaal, then enters the third witch of Eastwick, JK. Her enterance is more like opera-style entry, she enters while speaking her dialog and picking up from where SF left. The relay race was on, the baton was being transferred from one hand to another or if you may allow me it was more like a tag team in the wrestling ring. JK took the tag from SF and started hitting Gulaal.
"yehi toh ghalti hui hai aap se Sarru Behan" JK never lets go a chance to score a point on SF. Then she continues to show her hatred about how much Gulaal was praised by the family. And then she takes her position along side them. It give a look of a battlefield where three battlefields tanks are positioned in line and have their guns /barrels pointing towards a common target (in this case like bakri ka baccha). The battle is on, only Gulaal has nothing to fire back with. Dil khush hua ke aik hi khaandan ki 3 badi khawateen apni bahu ko iss andaaz mein taane dey rahi hain. I guess they have now realised that they have a lot to catch on saas bahu interaction, but since they were late in starting it, so the unique idea is to increase the resources i.e. have 3 saas doing together. TRPs are going to shootup. Well done, dair aayad darust aayad.
JK delivers more of an oppositions political speech to disqualify Gulaal for those 500 acres. She goes all the way the writer can possibly think.
She even blames Gulaal for Dushyant act and for umpteenth time Gulaal raises her head to see who said that.
When JK states "Dushyant ke Gulaal ke liye Jazbaat jaag gaye thay" Nai Paanba looks at her , SF want more details, their is a short spark in their eyes.. Gossip Girls. But soon they realise that they can't ask for juicy details, they are the heads of the family. JK then rephases to pass the blame to Gulaal by saying "Gulaal ne Dushyant ke Jazbaat jagaye, apnay bhole pan se" blah blah.. I thought Gulaal gave him a lap dance or he saw her practicing pole dancing in the sehan. JK goes overboard, trying to blame (give the credit to) Gulaal for the death of both the sons of the family.
Well on a serious note, what are CVs trying to achieve by distorting Gulaal's character so much, when PB was there and knows everything and does this justification by JK will reduce the pain of Vasant's murder. Wohi same old trick to build up a hype (no matter how irrationale it is) to force- create a drama. And BTW where is Kesar who always lurks in the vicinity. (Gulaal girr gayee toh saath kaun girre ga, ya Gulaal so gayee toh kaun chaddar daaley ga)
JK continues to blame her for the destruction of the family, luring Dushyant and hence forcing him to commit the crime.. blah blah.. but the prize dialog which shows how the writer's have hit the mental block and that is "iss ki besharmi toh dekho, pooja ghar mein diya jalane pahnch gayee". First how did she know that Gulaal was there and has been stopped to carry out pooja and secondly she brought back to from where this entire scene started. Indicating to Nai PB to deliver her dialog for the final closure.
And she does it with all 'grace' "ek baat to bata Gulaal, tu ne itne saalon tak Dushyant ka raaz chupa ke rakha, kahin iss liye to nahin ke dushyant par teri nazaar meharbaan thi." How low a mother can get? I remember when Kesar hears the gossip about Gulaal and Dushyant affair, he goes to PaanBa (old) and tells her what he is thinking. She says if you are talking about it then this means you are believing in it, It time to stand beside Gulaal at this time. Its the same PaanBa.. nay.. she should atleast have read the olde script.
This is the reason for changing the PaanBa because they wanted to add a Saas bahu element (and an ugly one) to this show too. She is the evil Nai PaanBa
Nai PaanBa gives her a friendly suggestion and asks her not to hide it and add it to other stigmas she has 'earned'. And then the scene is over, SF walks out, JK walks out and then Nai PaanBa and Gulaal woh apna paani ka bartan pait par dubba kar roti rahi.
Gulaal did not deliver a single complete dialog. Talli ka salook kya hai.
Again, just to show how she is being punished by the eldery ladies of the house. I think the choice of words and the contents of the dialogs were much below the standard of a leading Talasagra family or any decent family. Kafi bazari zubaan thi. I hope this is not done for our sake when we suggested that the show should be modified for the general viewers. If its so then... you general viewers can enjoy yourself.. Chi!!!!
Then our Kesar enters the scene, he wants to take Gulaal down, not knowing ke iss ki kitni beizzati hui hai but what he is not aware neechay jaakar abhi aur bhi beizzati honi hai. I guess its not Gulaal day. Directors only had time enough for one person to take a shot at Gulaal, and it seems that Sudha lost it to Reva. Can Kesar not sense the environment, temperature and tension in the house. Is he really so thick skinned. Does he ever know what is he doing. Does he have any clue what is Gulaal going through and he is the one who started it and then have the guts ke bachon ki tarah boley ke mujhe bhook lag rahi hai, khana de dey. He even thinks his parents are over reacting at Gulaal's decision. I am glad Talli got a better person Kunaal.
Today all the scenes revolved around the same thing. 10 saal se chupaye huay such ke lie 1-2 episodes to chaiye hongay but the way all 3 ladies twisted Gulaal tail.. phew!!! Is this all to justify Gulaal's decision to leave the house? Does she really need to convince anyone for taking this step?
