Gulaal admits that she knew about Dushyant's killing Vasant. Everyone is shocked. Kesar tries to speak for Gulaal but Paan baa yells and asks how could she betray them, she knew for years, how could she keep this from them, she allowed Dushyant to stay in the house instead of punishing him, why. Gulaal cries trying to explain but Mota Bha yells and tells her he doesn't want to listen to anything, no matter what she says nothing can cure the wounds, despite knowing she hid the murderer's name from the father. Kesar cries and tells Mota Bha to at least hear Gulaal out once, Mota Bha says with what trust, he trusted her blindly more than himself, when the whole world pointed fingers at Gulaal he supported her, not today, she has broken his trust in a very big way, she supported Vasant's murderer, she has betrayed Vasant in the process. Kesar pleads with them to stop and holds Gulaal's arm to take her away but Paan Baa stops her saying that nothing here is Gulaal's now, she cannot stay in this house any longer else Vasant's soul will never heave peace, Kesar tries to stop her but she takes Gulaal's arm and tries to kick her out of the house. Talli and Saru try to stop her to no avail.
Mota Bha stops her and says Gulaal will not go anywhere, Kesar feels relieved that Mota Bha will see Gulaal's perspective. But Mota Bha says that Gulaal will stay in this house else how will she realize how big a betrayal she has done, and bear the consequences of her betrayal every day in Mota Bha and Paan Baa's tears. Kesar and Gulaal are shocked and hurt. Everyone walks away except Kesar and Talli, Gulaal falls on the floor totally broken. Talli sees Kesar consoling Gulaal and leaves. Gulaal looks as if she is dead, Kesar sits with her on the floor.
Jamna weeps bitterly, Sudha comes with water but Jamna hits the glass and refuses to drink. Raman comes there and consoles her, Jamna tells him they took Dushyant away, she doesn't want to live. Ghigha tells her to forget Dushyant, he killed his brother and stole money, Raman is like as if he feels bad for Dushyant or something. I don't think Raman has feelings though. Jamna continues to weep bitterly.
Talli is sitting outside crying when Kunal comes there since he heard about Dushyant. She tells him its all her fault, its because of her marriage that Dushyant had to give 5 lakhs to Kunal's parents. Kunal is shocked and asks if his parents took dowry, Talli is surprised to see that he didn't know, he tells her that had he known he would not have let them. Kunal gives her some words of wisdom and leaves saying that he is always with her. Its interesting that Talli has found someone to care about her just like Kesar does for Gulaal in every situation.
Its nightfall and Kesar is still sitting on the floor with Gulaal. He hears some noise and realizes that its dark, he shakes Gulaal and she gets up going to her room. She flashbacks to Vasant's telling her about his dream for the village and family, the events of the evening, Mota Bha's harsh words and to the time when she tells Dushyant that she didn't inform the family to keep her promise to Vasant that this family will stay intact, and everyone's turning away from her and leaving in the end.
Precap: Gulaal cries and tells Kesar that she betrayed everyone's trust, she always thought that only she knew what was good for the family better than anyone else, only she could take decisions on behalf of the family because she understood right from wrong, she kept the fire that ruined her happiness hidden because she feared that the fire would ruin the family. Kesar listens to her with a pained expression feeling her hurt and hurting for her.
I LOVE Kesar so much, he is so steadfast in his devotion to her, he is always by her side. Love him. I do hope Gulaal realizes that losing Kesar would be her biggest mistake beyond all of this. I don't think Gulaal should be blamed entirely. She was 21-22 when Vasant died, she took care of everything when Mota Bha and Paan Baa were in the hospital. When both returned, its not like Mota Bha took charge of the family. He was too broken by Vasant's death and retired. Paan baa was too mild to take charge. Gulaal took charge of the family and kept everyone together. She even took care of the factory at one point when Raman was bleeding it dry. At some point, Mota Bha should have realized that Gulaal is very young, too young to take such responsibilities. Parents don't give in to whatever their kids want, but Mota Bha gave into everything in the name of "trust", shouldn't he have actually been a father and shown her the right way instead of letting her deal with it? Gulaal needed guidance and direction, everyone was so enamored with her having Goddess' boon that they put her on a very high pedestal.
