Actually, Kesar was never explicitly warned by Gulaal. She just asked him to trust her, and said whatever she did she did it for the family and her and Vasant's dreams.

Gulaal's mistake was that she never explained it to Kesar. If she had explained her reasons, then he might have been a bit more controlled during his confrontation with Dushyant.

I share the feelings of loss with you. It's bittersweet. I'd rather have serials end naturally and in their due time anyway. But I do think this show could've gone on for a couple more months.

Nevertheless, they are doing a good job wrapping it all up. And now, I guess I'll be free of Hindi serial-dom. I've gotten sick of the other ones I have tried to watch, and all they do is just insult my intelligence, piss me off with the portrayal of women, or just plain annoy me with what I see as lazy, hurried shooting focusing more on so called "style" rather than substance.

There is Maryada, which has its problems, but is a cut above the others. But I just can't get into it. I started because of Karan's entry. But I lost interest in even Karan/Gaurav and Vidya a while back.

I agree with u all 100%. By closing this show the channel is proving that it does not care for intelligent viewers only the ones who like mundane run-of-the-mill shows. And more than anything it shows the awful taste of the Indian viewers. I just have no words to express my sorrow and also my anger at the channel.

Absolutely absolutely right.
Gulaal is simply a superior series, and it scores on EVERY count.

The art is magnificent - full of the colours of Gujarat. In the beginning when they shot in the desert, it was breathtaking. The homes, the objets d'art, the windows, the doors, the small embedded mirrors everywhere, the kitchen, the wood fired stove, the utensils, the props - I love it all.

Then the lighting and camera work. Superlative. They light with such a sense of mood! They use pillars and other lines to alter their frames, they use innovative angles, their night lighting is MAGNIFICENT.

The writing. First - they have a STORY - overall plotline. *falls on her knees in gratitude* A grand epic level story develpment with wonderfully dramatic hinge points. Then they have excellent dialogues. Every character has a perspective, and they are articulate! And their screenplay is brilliant too - they bring in a nice sense of dynamics between everyone. That needs some talent, let me assure you - just see other shows with a panorama of actors, all standing around like pieces of wood for the star to perform and you can see the difference.

Characters - what an eclectic set of people - so vivid, so extreme, so convincing.

The actors. Sushant, Manasi, Rahil, Neil, Motabha, - need I say any more? Also, others in the family and yes, even Talli. The character may irritate but Helly has a mobile, expressive face with great sweetness.

Music - piyu mhaare... to begin with.

In a nutshell, it's a quality product. I'm glad I caught it 😊 Thanks, CVs - you do good 👏👏
