*sigh* totally agree...He just lets her be...whether it's back when she rained those slaps down on him...he let her take it all out...and even now...if she just wanted to sit on that floor for hours and hours in a comatose state...he let her...but he never left her alone...he was there for her...even if it was to do nothing but sit next to her all night...oh these two.

REEEMZ! Oh-em-gee! you did not remember that dialog - this is freaky uncanny - I thought of it when you posted the first CAP 😆 But I couldn't remember what movie it was from nor like the exact phrase... just the sahara nahin saath dene aaya hu bit..., and I was like, where did I hear that thing again!

Anyway - I think they're not literally sitting up with each other's weight on their sides, but the heads are bound to brush... and personally (trying to delve here into the minds of two people in a snap shot) I think Gulaal looks comatose indeed, as Anjali says... Kesar on the other hand looks like someone who's been in the statue position so long, that the bell even startles him for a bit... I think it's like showing how the scene started with Kesar all rushing to her, urging her, and pleading her... freaking out and whatnot - eventually sort of lapsing into this state where he's just resigned to sit beside her until she's had her time... and in the process of that stillness, the silence, the timelessness of the passing hours, he's probably zoned out into memories of the past... perhaps a part of him is just going over the last 24 hours... and you know how it is sometimes when you've just sat down introspecting and hours pass and you don't quite realize?! So the bell startles him? I don't think he 'dozed' off really... then again - Oh I'm thinking so much into just a still!

It's such a pristine capture of the two - even classic lovers like Soni Mahiwal (yes Nur the semblance is stark!) sort of fall short, because this is not a pose of ... you know, exactly lovers in pain... because Gulaal still doesn't qualify a lover here! That's what! GK are just another class... reminds me of Kesar's unanswered question till date koi mujhe ye batayega ke Gulaal aur mera rishta hai kya?! ... sigh!

Yes, not really lovers...like Soni Mahiwal were...but I guess I was talking of the CLASSIC aspect...GK's relationship as we always say is so far beyond any label...they aren't lovers in this pic and yet there is such an epic feel of soulmates...I think someone mentioned it previously in this thread...that picture personifies two soulmates.

And I so agree that another thing that makes this beautiful is that it's NOT a pose...like the original Soni Mahiwal portrait...and yet it says SO much...you can stare at the pic forever coming up with endless meaning.

If you haven't seen the movie then I highly recommend it!

I didn't even realise Kesar had dozed off till Anjali and Nur pointed out. I thought he just had his eyes closed maybe just cherishing the silence after the storm.

@BOLD! And Kesar isn't even there as a 'lover', he's there as HER Kesar! Seriously, tagging them as 'lovers' belittles them too in a way.

I DO NOT FRIKKIN KNOW what their rishta is 😳

True! Kesar needed time too. I think the only people they could be with were each other, no-one else will really understand.

The whole outer shot with the screen spanning out with the two of them left alone and then in the darkness - said alot, they both in the darkness together, and Kesar will be her saviour/support in so many ways - like you say be there for her as in that dialogue of the movie
That movie was something else, i loved how Priyanshu's character went to confess and he did but got to know the grandad or the dad cant really hear and then he didnt have the heart to say what he had said before, coz the first time was so hard to confess
That song is as you say is haunting

in india many don't use net.
by looking the scene wat i got it is gulaal is shock mode but not leaning on kesar r taking suport of him she taking her shoulder support that means that shows her indepence n strength.
kesar is leaning on her showing his concern n feeling pain for her.
in precap they showed gulaal is talking to kesar there she is opening up slowly depence starting unconciously n unintentionally.equation of GK changing again.independent gulaal becoming dependent.

Like how you put it!😊 You're right about the average Indian soapie not really getting the depth behind this scene or the entire serial actually.

Gulaal has always been independent, she's a very strong woman and Kesar knows that which is why he is just in his own way saying, I'm here for you. You can be the most independent person but you will always crave that one person who you can depend on whenever you need them.

What's beautiful is that Kesar doesn't even try to talk her out of it, he just lets her sink it all in and he waits for however long it will take.

ya u r right u need a companion, lifepartner there to share that one there for u. she lost that vasanth. so she knew it n shuts herself. thats why she said before to kesar that iam not misunderstanding u i got u right but i can't see vasanth in u.becos she can't ,don't want to give that place to any body in this life time. but kesar is her destiny. very hard when destiny n heart pulls opposite OMG can't desribe in words ve to see gulaal wats that is.😊

Wow Nur - that is a drastic and contrasting comparison - but how true! He always lets Gulaal sort of take her time, doesn't he? He's like this ray of light to indicate the end of her long tunnel - every occasion, whatsoever! When she needs to stay in the house and can't accept DV with Dushyant - there is Kesar... When she just needs a silent believer who will no further question her integrity or intention over protecting Dushyant, Kesar is there... in a way, even though she doesn't ask him explicitly, his silence is almost this bolstering to her decision. A secret she has long held and been guilty about in a way - he shares the secret, he shares the burden of keeping it, and how! When she's come back to the house without her soul, as she claims, even though he takes time, he's the one who eventually comes around and gets her back into the this is my house and happiness mode! When she needs someone to revive her old person, but not press it like an agenda over her - he gives her only two dialogs of revelation, and then sets himself to task subtly, softly, but surely! When she realizes she does want to move beyond the walls she has built about her, when she asks for her 'old friend' to be returned to her, he slips into those shoes without really fussing with being misunderstood! And now, when she's a fallen angel before everyone - he's still there, right by her side!

The amazing part is even when she doesn't know what to expect from him... he knows exactly what to do! Just like today...

It kind of went back to us against the rest of the world which is what happened after Vasant's death.

Priyanshu's character really tugged at the heart.I think all this Tum Bin talk is making me want to watch it again!

Dost and Pati-Patni 😉😆
Though seriously i know what you mean, i wouldnt want to call them lovers, and i always said that to the outside world their identity is pati-patni but for each other it goes beyond that then a name-tag given to them 'that bond that lingered and formed'
Best way to describe is 'Gulaal-Kesar' - 'Kesar-Gulaal'
Connection
Bond
Indescribable
inexplicable
Soul-Mates if you want
Twin Souls
These types of names to describe and attached to them, you dont need to give their relation a name - coz that says it all and with every emotion and feeling in there, it goes beyond - beyond love

Kesar respects Gulaal's love for Vasant too much to expect anything like that but at the same time, no-one can take Kesar's place in her heart either. It's only time till she realizes that Kesar is her destiny, her soulmate.
