He's deeply regretful of the Panchayat's decision, he's sorrowful of how much he has inadvertently hurt Gulaal in his hope to give her the happiness that he knows she truly deserves.
And that is not wrong or malicious intent, they're both good human beings and look at the outcome. I adore Gulaal's understanding of the situation, she forgives him unquestionably, tearfully she looks at him, thanking him for making the "right" decision, happily telling him she feels free now...
He looks at her and makes an unequivocal request, "Can't we be friends now?"
His desperate last attempt to make her see sense was heart wrenching in yesterday's episode, "Don't you see, your being unfair to the woman who resides within you...you deserve so much more".
They shake hands before Vasan't photograph implying it's what he wants...but I know the "joining of their hands" is not simply for the sake of becoming friends
The scene with Poonam and Kesar was really sweet. I completely understand her, her worries as a mother, how she fears for her daughter's future, where she is headed as a woman without her husband...the situation she always worried about when Vasant passed away. She knows that Kesar is the perfect son-in-law to any parent, who will keep her daughter happy. Why else would she plead with him not to separate from her? And then he consoles her...relieving that mother of her burden. How Gulaal's eyes filled with tears when she heard Kesar declare that no matter what happens in the future, he will always be responsible for ensuring that she is alwas happy...
A good brother, a good son, a good husband and a good friend.
I love how they've grown, how he was insolent and rude to her at first instance, then his love for her overwhelmed him to the extent he was crazed into doing the unexpected, fighting for her presence to remain in his life. And now...he says things so simply to her, "Will I ever be able to rid myself of this habit of having you beside me all the time?"
He can take on the whole of the panchayat...fight against everyone, be stubborn, refuse food...but when the time comes to go before his Motaba, he'll always be little Kesar. Afraid, lacking courage...
Gulaal looks at him when he tells her, "I need you there". Like she always has been.
Motaba's argument is justified. They give him upmost respect and I really do love the guy...he treats Gulaal like his own daughter and always takes her side. But today they really have hurt him/...he scolds them like little children, "the consequences affect us all".
Aw, ...I share the same emotions which I can witness on Kesar and Gulaal's faces as he tells them "I have no importance in your life". He would have been ideal to go to when requiring advice...and it makes sense, the whole point of the deeyarvattu still exists, why do you want to end it now? What made you take such a rash decision?
(Personal note: if anyone knows of Mahabharat, Motaba reminds me of Bhisma Pitamaha)
Oooh also, the precap between Talli and Kesar-the one thing I want to say about this is that I loveee the theme tune which plays in the background, it's the one always associated with Kesar, the one with the flute. Beautiful
This is a definite treat for Gul-Kes lovers. I think them becoming friends was the bestest decision for us fans
Gulaal automatically fits into her role as a "friend" but I can see a caring wife in her actions too. Telling him not to worry about Motaba when she sees him rubbing his forehead, asking him rhetorically, "you trust me right?". And then the milk.. I love love love love love it.
A cute quarrel and it stands at polar opposites from the last time they argued over the issue.
She tells him the same, "you were always a bad mood before ...but you should drink it now because we're friends now". How she tells her stubbornly that make your tea yourself and I find myself laughing out at his method, the big "pateela" for his little cup
Amd cam see him laughing to himself , he knows Talli well. "You'll make it for me?" she nods and tells him he can go.
I applauded Talli too in yesterdays' episode. She always does what she believes to be right and most of the time she is, she knows Kesar will not change his mind about her, it hurts but she has dealt with it and hats off to her. She helps Kesar for the sake of the position he has given her in his life as a good friend and she although there are no conditions in love or friendship she fulfils her responsibility fully.
The conversation between them really shows the same, how she tells Kesar that Gulaal will love him back now that he released her, yet he is surprised at himself, "I never thought for that to happen at all...I only want her to be happy". She responds that by making him realise his mistake he has been rid of his pain and he smiles back at her. It's actually a great turn from the stubble adorning, Devdas we saw last week...it didn't suit him at all. This is our Kesar and he's back with a bang indeed! I loved how he pats Talli on the forehead, I cherish their relationship, call it friendship if you will but it definitely is in one of the most purest of forms. I really do treasure Talli's importance in Kesar's life...it's good she has someone there who understands all the things he woudn't be able to say to Gulaal for the sake of offending/alieating her.
Again, cannot wait for the precap tomorow, I caught Reemz's post on the same and I really do agree, this Gulaal is the "woman" I feel Kesar was always talking about, the one she leaves subdued within her...the ckeeky look she gives JK before she leaves?? Brilliant. Haha!
All is great in the gaon, let's hope the next "three months" bring many more great scenes and what we desire!
Thanks for reading xo
