And anyways...the thing is this relation is so above all that ...I just found it very endearing the way he treats her...even at the height of desperation and being subjected to the grossest injustice...he doesnot enter the blame game...he just puts the most logical argument...
And I loved how he was not embarassed when Gulaal pointed out that he should atleast not speak these things in front of Vasant...
He takes Vasant's position in her life as such a necessary ingredient...as if there could be no Kes-Gul without Vasant...and that is so true too...😳 It's so interesting that since his confession, there is a new kind of tenderness to the way he approaches her even though he will get emotional and innocently ask her again and again why she's doing this to him? And yes, I also love that he has NO guilt if Vasant is brought up...he is confident and secure about his feelings in that respect even though Gulaal tries to throw that out as something to "shame" him...but to Kesar, there is no shame, no sin in something as pure as his love for her...and that is all he keeps reiterating...Vasant is the strongest thread bonding them, very true...and Gulaal will have to emerge from her self-imposed guilt to truly be able to understand how her love for Vasant doesn't have to end up being a cage that she can't look beyond.


@ Red...exactly..even when she came to return his letters in his room..all he said that she would realize He loves her one day...He doesnot say that she would love him back one day!! that is what makes the whole equation amazing...I'm hoping that he gets a chance to tell her this directly soon...I think Gulaal is under some kind of misconception regarding that and right now seems unwilling to listen to any logic anyways😆

Ahhh yes the way Kesar walked up to Gulaal, wanting to touch her but stopping himself was just so beautiful. Their relationship is seriously unlike any other I've seen (cannot say that enough). Kesar has so much respect for Gulaal and the irony is that he wants her so much that he is willing to keep that physical distance between the two. She's got her her back to him but still the chemistry comes out so pristine. Totally agree...I like that word you used...pristine...very apt to describe their chemistry there...goes to show that they don't need cliched close scenes necessarily to bring out their chemistry.

I always get the feeling that Gulaal avoids looking right in to Kesar's eyes because she knows his feelings are really genuine and pure, no matter how much she tries to deny them. Gulaal has maintained an awkward body language after that pareshani scene, where she was drawn to him. She's been avoiding looking at him/into his eyes even more so since the confession...the directness and simplicity of the way he expresses himself unnerves her and obviously her guilt grows...she can't deal with it.

Everything is so subtle between them, they're two characters taken from a novel. I think it was PaanBa who said that GK's relationship is a 'paheli'. It is indeed a paheli...with no easy answers, no easy way to label them...that is why they are so fascinating...epic characters like from a classic novel...that's the feel they have.

Hats off to the creatives who have been able to come up with a bond like this.
