The entire first scene with Kesar listing out all the points related to the deeyarvattu was very nicely shown. He was fantastically logical, and comparitively so calm and decisive...

Kesar had a valid answer for every question thrown at him but no one had an answer to a simple question he asked, "Mera aur Gulaal ka rishta kya hai?"..hmmm...I think that even Gulaal could not have an answer to that...they shared a bond which was beyond any need of a name, or a relation or a ritual...but then when it comes to the society...they are related by that Deeyarvatu ...and if that is not recognized then what is the relation...

I felt sorry for Kesar today...it seems as if he's been toyed with his entire life and major decisions of his life were taken away from his hands...his mother tells him he was but a child when the marriage happened...he didn't know the meaning of shaadi...and Kesar turns that around and validly asks...then why let it happen? Why force me to grow up then into a "pati" and now say that it's all a mirage? They took away the choice from him then and are trying to take it away from him today as well? When does Kesar ever get to make his choices??
..They never thought it to be his choice...it was just a way for Gulaal to save herself from Dushy and tat the same time not to leave the village...and then when Motabha came back disapproving of this wholescenario..Gulaal said that she would herself get him married...so it was like a done deal for Kesar...in the whole turmoil...nobody thought that Kesar would be affected with this marriage...apparently everyone thought that he would be just happy that he would be marrying some girl...and not feel bounden by this marriage and when he himself got ready to marry Talli the terrorist...they obviously thought him to be beyond that relation since forever...ofcourse, his desperation, his anger was labelled as a bigada bacha...
Gulaal was desperate and saw no other way out when she made the choice to do this deeyarvattu with him...but she and everyone else seem to have forgotten that this wasn't an inanimate object that they could turn to any direction they so deemed fit...this was a living breathing human being who has feelings which DO need to accounted for...Today Kesar expressed all of that and they all needed to hear this.
..Yup inspite of the truth in what Gulaal said that she had not done it out of any malice, she forgets that everybody is not meant to be a saint like her...and Kesuda is absolutely no saint...and Thank God for that...😆
Gulaal's decision to involve the panchayat was another desperate one in my opinion...she's grasping at straws now to "fix" this problem as she sees it...since according to her and almost everyone else...Kesar himself has no idea what he's doing.
..I think she was in stupor till Talli decided to run...after that she saw the enormity and the disaster following the situation...and to some extent we saw that she was right...Kesar did not know WHY he was doing it...it was apparent after Motabha's convo with him...
Which brings me to the Kesar-Motaba scene...where Motaba says the very same to Kesar...do you have any idea WHY you did this? I don't think you do...and Kesar really did not fully realize till that point, it's true...the flashbacks he has of Gulaal playing in his mind there show him on the brink of that realization there again...oh that bg music there was so wonderful. I thought Motaba's dialogue about "soch samajh ke faisla karna" was quite significant too...advising Kesar to think about the implications of his actions on everyone around...not just him.
..You see he doesnot see the implications of what he did...he just could not be cut away from Gulaal was the only thought that he had in mind...but what after that?? and why this thought never actually entered his mind?? I mean he never questioned his need to bond with Gulaal, She has always been there ...and it was almost as unperceivable thing for him that she would not be there in his life at some point of time, as the air being not there for him to breath...but when she told him that she would go away and he so the whole marriage ceremony going on before his eyes...and you know I felt like at that time he was having his whole life flashing before his eyes...and his future where he could not see Gulaal...and that made him so restless..almost breathless...The way he looked at her as if she would just disappear any moment...I think that hit him that whatever happens..but this he cannot afford...but what after that?? he is yet to give a thought..
The coin toss was interestingly shown...even till that point, Kesar doesn't list the second choice as "Main Gulaal se pyar karta hoon"...he words it as "Main Gulaal se door nahin rehna chahta"...and so the coin gives him his answer...a well shot bit with the flashing light effect used to depict that moment of epiphany symbolically...But the real effects of this realization will show up later this week I guess...when Kesar actually verbalizes this realization to Gulaal.
..you see the mindset they have and the way their relationship is seen by the public would not let him admit...even to himself...but then there is a moment he has to realize..and ofcourse he does to some extent...but still he couldnot tell himself..so he takes the props of the coin...the coin which never lies to him...the coin which shows him the right way...and above all..the coin which when in the air always tells your heart..because it is at that moment you realize what you actually wish for and which side would you like the coin to take...

This panchayat drama should be intriguing...Gulaal is quite confident of the decision going in her favor which means the twist will definitely make it go the other way and Dushyant will shock everyone. For now, it seems Kesar is again falling prey to Raman's insinuations about G and D...so that anger will again be simmering under the surface at the panchayat. ..hehe even I think Dushy will be in team Kesar...probably because he understands the hopelessness of loving Gulaal...also because it was because of him that kesar is in this soup...Raman is just going ot fall flat on his face..reminds me of Kala though😆

So true, Srush...love how you worded this...indeed it did look like his entire life flashed before his eyes there and Gulaal being the source of all his sustenance in essence...the idea that she may not be in his life did seem to rob him of the very air in his lungs...he was in a daze during that entire bit. He didn't THINK as you said...he just DID...what was necessary in THAT moment...what after didn't occur to him then...but it did later when things calmed down.

And yes maybe he understands K's love for Gulaal...so like he previously brought Kesar back for the vrat...this time too he would likely vote in favor of their relationship despite Gulaal's protests.

What is Raman's problem waise? I'm not sure cuz I haven't watched all the epis...yeah I think his scheme is going to fall flat😆
