Im writing my post without reading anyone elses post except yours Lenzie, so I have no idea what the forum is thinking. For a change I thought I would put down my views and see what everyone else thinks after. Perhaps no one will agree with me but this is how I felt after watching the episode.
I went through so many different emotions while watching the episode.
Ive always sympathised with Gulaal, even when I didnt agree with things that she did, I made excuses for her because she was doing it for everyone elses happiness. But today, she made me angry and I cant believe Im saying this. From pushing for an early wedding, to making Motaba promise that he will come to the wedding even though he didnt want to, for saying that the deervatu meant nothing to her ...but most of all for speaking to her mother in the way she did! As a mother, i know that all you want is your childs happiness and you will put that above even your own. But the way she in effect told her mother to butt out was wrong. Gulaals mother was devastated when she left!
And just because of a promise she made to Talli. Kesar was right... she had no right to promise Talli without thinking about what Kesar had wanted. And today Kesar is wrong too. Just to prove a point to Gulaal, he is going to marry Talli and ruin her life. Lenzie I completely agree with you that I dont know how this will bring Gulaal and Kesar together...in fact I think it will tear them even further apart! And that scares me.
As for the rest, I felt sad for Motaba, terrible for Gulaals mum, irritated with Sudha. As for Talli...well, lets just say she looked nice on her engagement day.
A couple of scenes really stood out. When Kesar grabbed Gulaals hand during the engagement ceremony and of course the last scene! Precap was interesting too. I think Gulaal is going to be terrified by the time the wedding actually takes place cos Kesar is going to constantly remind her why he is marrying Talli.
Wise people say never play with peoples lives. I think Gulaal is going to find out the true meaning of this.
