welcome dear gulaal is kesar wife she was forced to marry him wen kesar was 12 and gulaal was 18-20 under custom deeyarvattu ( widow bhabhi has to marry their devar ) so the story goes like this gulaal is 18-20 year old girl from rashipur she has some magical powers of finding water in barren land one day a boy from hostile village comes to rashipur and takes gulaal with her to find water in his village talsagra...vasant is elder son of the sarpanch of the village his younger brother kesar is 12 year mishchievous boy and highly fond of vasant...rest family members includes gigaka jamna kaki cousin dushyant and raman and raman wife sudha...gulaal brings water to talsagra and ends enemity between the 2 village...and in due cours of time gulaal and vasant fall for each other and with the blessings of elder gets married unknowingly dushyant has eye on gulaal ...gulaal comes to talsagra and kesar and gulaal soon becomes best of frns they share a deep and emotional bond ...kesar whole world is gulaal and vasant...one day vasant gulaal and their parents decides to visit the temple but met a severe accident planned by their enemies...dushaynt reaches the accident spot...he saves gulaal and her in laws but throws vasant from the river to claim gulaal...vasant is drowned and considered deadth...and gulaal in laws are deeply hurt...recently widow gulaal has to face emotional jolt ...jamna kaki and other family member mistreat her...meanwhile other cousin raman goes to lawyer to inherent the property of gulaal in laws but here he comes to know that motaba' property belongs to vasant and kesar equally ...in rage he leaves whereas dushyant obessseion for gulaal gorows and he ask his parents to marry him to gulaal ...jamna kaki and raman also find this as golden oppurtunity as by this vasant 40% of share that belongs to gulaal now will be automatically transferred to dushyant...even they plan to kill kesar to claim the property gulaal comes to know about it and decides to take care of kesar while his family is not present...jamna kaki with other villagers force her to make decision either to do deeyarvattu (marry to devar) or leave the house...gulaal agrees to marry and instead of marrying dushyant maaries kesar...kesar and gulaal are accepted as husband and wife...meanwhile gulaal finds thr truth behind vasant murder and dushyant kidnaps gulaal ...where gulaal says she already know that he is murderer but didnt reveal his secret as his husbadn wnats all family member to stay together this is a wakening call for dushyant and he is in deep pain and he decides to change himself...motaba returns from the hospital and is shocked to hear all that has taken place gulaal convince motaba that she will never consider kesar as her husband and will find a right bride for kesar ...and in mean time talli a orphan enters in the house gulaal sees talli as kesar's future wife and promise her to marry her to kesar oneday...here kesar consider gulaal as her wife...he treats gulaal as his wife which motaba doent like as he is 12 and gulaal is 18-20 motaba decides to send kesar to boarding school and kesar decides to runaway...he hides in some plce where gulaal and dushyant were talking to their old enemy durgesh whose driver has seen dushyant kiiling vasant gulaal says she knew and better durgesh minds his business kesar hears all this and his world changes in second and is deeply hurt and angry with gulaal ...he thinks gulaal and dushaynt has cheated him and starts behaving rudely and motabha send him to boarding school for 10 years ...kesar returns after 10 years with mixed response for gulaal...he hates her and he is angry with her for hiding the truth from the family...at the same time he loves her unconditionally and most ardently...talli on the other hand is happy with kesar return as she can be kesar wife as gulaal has promised her...gulaal by and then declares to everyone that she doenst see kesar as her husband...here kesar's growing fondness love and attraction is making gulaal unesay ...kesar wants to live his life with gulaal but his past memmories his anger frustration his jealousy towards dushy and gulaal relation is not making him do that...and here gulaal mother ,mother in law and jamna kaki for their own different reason are pushing gulaal to start a martial life with kesar...but age difference between gulaal and kesar gulaal commitment with vsant her promise with talli is not making him and her own conscience is not making her accept kesar...gulaal MIl has asked her to vatsavitri vrat talli is also doing the vrat ...
