Hi Purnim Welcome yaara to this forum😃
Gulaal was the widow of Kesar's Elder Brother Vasant, and had married Kesar after Vasant's death as a part of teh Deeyarvatu ritual ...There were many reasons for that ...because she wanted to save KEsar and his family and also not wanting to marry dushyant who was the bad guy at that time and had been pivotal in killing Vasant.
Kesar was young at that time and had been attached to Gulaal very much but then he came to know that Dushyant had killed his bro and Gulaal knew it and had not told anyone and had also forgiven him.
After that he had went to boarding school and has returned to discover that he loves Gulaal still. and Dushyant is Kesar's cousin and Raman's real brother.
And Talli is an orphan who was Kesar's childhood friend and is raised by Sudha, Raman's wife as a daugter.
