Chapter 29

Next morning AJ and Angad brought their mother home. They took her to the room and made her sit Comfortably. AJ sat by her side and held her hand.

AJ: maa kya baat hai, koi pareshaani hai.

Guddan: (with tray in her hand) kya aapne aate he sawaal shuru kar diye. Rest karne dijiye maa ko aur phele inhe breakfast krna hai. Uthiye zara aap wahan se.

Maa: guddan mera bilkul mann nahi hai.
Tum log kar lo.

Guddan: aise kaise mann nahi hai. Aap waise bhi bahut weak hogaye ho. You need food for energy kyunki abhi aapko aapke lalla k sawaalon k jawab bhi to dene hain.

Everyone laughs and she makes her eat. After that all of them have breakfast too.
Guddan is in the kitchen. AJ comes and hugs her from behind.

Guddan: aapko office nai jaana.

AJ: jaana to hai par mann nahi hai (kissing her shoulder)

Guddan: akshat kya kar rahe hain aap, koi aa jayega. Jaaye jaake tayar hojaye.

AJ: nai while peperring kisses all over her back.

Guddan: (breathing heavily) koi aa jayega.

AJ: koi nai aayega (kissing her earlobes)

Guddan: (turning around) aapko late horaha hai jaake tayar hojaye and pecks his lips.

She then goes to the room and he is waiting for her with the tie. She starts putting the tie and he holds her waist.

AJ: waise madam aaj raat ko tayar rehne.

Guddan: kyun?

AJ: jo kaam kal adhura reh gaya, usse poora b to karna hai

Guddan: (blushes and puts her head on his shoulder) aisa kuch b nai hoga

AJ: what do you mean??

Guddan: aap bhool gaye aarti yahan nahi hai aur maa ki tabyat theek nahi hai, so mujhe maa k saath sona hai and winks at him.

AJ: you are enjoying this, right?

Guddan: Is main enjoy wali kya baat hai. Seedhe he to bola.

AJ: theek hai jao karo jo karna hai. Main nai kar raha tumse baat.

Guddan: akshat kya bacchon ki tarah chid rahe hain aap and laughs.

He leaves without replying to her. She goes to Angad to remind him that they have an appointment with the doctor. She then goes to check maa.

Guddan: app uth gayi. Chai laaun?

Maa: nai mann nahi hai. Waise ek baat bata lalla ko kya hua tha?

Guddan: kyun, kya hua?

Maa: nai aaj subah jab mujhse poochne aaya nikalne k time to mood bada ukhda ukhda sa lag raha tha.

Guddan: nai maa kuch bhi nahi hua hai. Aap rest karo main dekhti hoon lunch ka kya krna hai.

She is in the kitchen preparing lunch and thinks to surprise AJ when Angad and nimisha come back.

Guddan: angad sab theek hai na. Doctor ne kya kaha?

Angad: bhabhi sab theek hai. They both are fine.

Guddan: kuch specific diet ka to nai doctor ne bola hai?

Angad: nai waisa to doctor ne kuch nahi bola.

Guddan: chalo theek hai. Lunch yahin karoge ki room main?

Nimisha: nai didi idhar he karenge.

Guddan: angad main soch rahi thi, akshat ko office leke jawun lunch, tum maa ka dhyan rakh loge.

Angad: haan jao aap. Bhai b khush honge.

Guddan goes to give lunch to maa and tells her she will have lunch with akshat in office.

Maa: theek hai jaa.

She gets ready wearing a simple anarkali and leaves for office. In the office everybody knows AJ is married but nobody knows guddan by face or name for that matter.

She arrives at the office and goes to the receptionist (R).

Guddan: Excuse me, AJ ka cabin kahan hai?

R: kyun, tumhe kya krna hai?

Guddan: nai agar koi meeting main hain wo, so it's ok main wait kar lungi and sits on a nearby chair.

R: ajeeb ladki ho tum, Maine tumse kaha wait karo AJ sir ka. Khudi he kuch b zabardasti kar rahi ho. Appointment hai aur btw kaam kya hai tumhe unse.

Before guddan could reply Soon some other employees(E) come to the reception hearing noises and as it's lunch time so everyone is free.

E1: kya hua tum itna kyun chilla rahi ho.

R: to aur kya karoon, isko dekho tum, na appointment na kuch phir b AJ sir se milna hai. Aur tum baithi kya ho, Maine kaha tumse baithne k liye.

Guddan: aap meri baat suniye( standing up)

E2: baat to sun pehle iski.

R: kya sunu main. I know such girls. Aayi hogi sir se koi madad maangne.

"Basss bahut bol liya tumne"

They all turn back to see AJ standing with clenched fists.

R: sir aap dekhiye na is ladki ko, zabardasti baithi hui hai yahan pe pichle 10 minute se.

AJ: are you in the right frame of mind. Do you know tum baat kis se kar rahi ho?

Guddan: akshat suniye na.

AJ: tum to chup he raho. Why didn't you give me a call? Aur tum (turning to R) isse tumhari permission ki nahi tumhe iski permission ki zaroorat hai yahan pe khade rehne k liye Aur aap sabko b(turning to Other employees).

R: sir aap kya kehna chahte hain?

AJ: ye jo yahan khadi hai (holding guddan's hand) malkin hai is poore Jindal Empire ki Mrs. Guddan Akshat Jindal.

R: sir mujhe nahi pata tha

AJ: that's no excuse because there is a way to talk. Kal se i dont want to see you in this office.

AJ leaves and takes guddan along to his cabin.

Guddan: akshat relax. Here drink some water ( and hands him the glass)

AJ: if you were here, why didn't you call me.

Guddan: utna time he nahi mila. Everything happened so spontaneously.

AJ: waise tum yahan achanak?

Guddan: aapke liye lunch laaya tha maine because I know subah itna chid k nikle thay ghar se ki din bhar kuch nahi khate aap and sits on the sofa.

AJ: (remembering he was upset with her and goes to sit on his chair). Mujhe bhook nahi hai. You can take it back.

Guddan: kya zidd kar rahe hain aap. Theek hai main b nai kar rahi lunch.

AJ: kyun tum kyun nai karogi. Tumhe to bada maza aaraha tha subah meri tang kheenchne main.

She gets up from the sofa, bolts the door of his cabin, heads towards him and sits on his lap.

Guddan: kya hua hai, kis baat se itna chid rahe ho.

AJ: (turning his face away from her) main nai chid raha hoon main theek hoon.

As AJ faces away from her, she is about to fall from his lap because he has not held her from back and his hands are resting on the sides. He holds her immediately.

AJ: kya kar rahi ho. You will fall down.

Guddan: aapke hote hue kabhi nahi and encircles her arms around his neck. Maine subah aisa kya bol diya jo aap lunch b nahi kar rahe ho ab.

AJ: nothing (resting his head on the back of the chair).

Since guddan couldn't take his ukhda mood any more, she bends down and kisses his neck letting her lips stay their a little longer leaving a mark and then sits straight (still in his lap)

AJ: ye kya tha( with widened eyes)

Guddan: marking what's mine. And you know I can't bare your phoola hua munh for a longer time.

AJ: I am sorry, guess I over-reacted and before she could reply, he cups her face and kisses her deeply.

Both fight for dominance and in the end part due to lack of oxygen resting their foreheads against each other.

AJ: I love you(kissing her forehead)

Guddan: I love you too ( resting her forehead on his shoulder)

AJ: (while caressing her hairs) tum roz lunch leke aaya kro and smirks.

Guddan: chaliye ab lunch karein?

They both have lunch and feed each other. Guddan is now leaving.

AJ: come I will drop you to the car.

Guddan: no you stay back I will manage. Concentrate on your work waise b you wasted a lot of time and winks.

She is about leave but notices lipstick mark on his neck and comes back from the door.

Guddan: zara upar dekhiye.

AJ: kyun? Mann nai bhara.

Guddan: aapka single track mind (and lifts his chin and then wipes the lipstick mark from his neck). Bye I will leave now.

Guddan reaches home and goes to check maa and gives her medicine. She comes out and sees Angad and Nimisha watching TV in hall with angad's head in nimisha's lap. She clicks a picture of them and forwards it to AJ and texts him to get the picture framed.

Angad: bhabhi aap kab aaye.

Guddan: bas abhi abhi.

Angad: aa jao baitho.

Guddan: nai tum log dekho main aati hoon and goes to her room.

At night they are having dinner and maa also comes to sit with them.

Guddan: aap bahar kyun aaye main to room main laa rahi thi aapka khana.

Maa: main koi bimaar nai hoon jo ab kamre main he rahungi. Mujhe tum sab k saath he khana hai.

AJ: theek hai, baithiye.

Post dinner they all go to their room. Guddan changes and sees AJ working on laptop.

Guddan: aapko sona nai hai. Aur haan aapne wo frame laaya?

AJ: haan bas thoda kaam tha. Frame wo kal dega. Btw what do you have to do to that frame?

Guddan: that was a nice picture un dono ki. Socha we will surprise them and I will put it in their room. Angad k room ka peeche wala wall waise bhi khali hai.

AJ: I am so lucky to have you. Kitna khayal rakhti ho sabka. Btw Tum maa k paas nai jaa rahi.

Guddan: Haan jaa rahi hoon change krne aayi thi. Good night

AJ: good night.

Maa: guddan Tu is waqt yahan

Guddan: haan maa, main yahi rahungi na aapke saath.

Maa: kyun, main bilkul theek hoon. Tum log kyun fikar karte ho. Tu jaa na lalla k paas.

Guddan: maa koi baat nai hai. Please mana mat kijiye and sleeps on the bed.

Maa: Tu mere ziddi bete ki ziddi biwi hai. Thodi na maanegi meri baat.

They both sleep. At night guddan feels thirsty and sees the jug is empty. She goes to get water from kitchen and notices that the door of her room is open as well as the light.

She goes upstairs and sees AJ has slept on the couch while working. She goes to him, takes of his specs, makes him lie down on the couch slowly and puts a blanket on him. She ruffles his hair, kisses his forehead and turns of the light.

She then goes to her MIL and sleeps.
