Part 3

"Nhi Vikram, I can't accompany you! Guddan denied for the umpteenth time since the past one hour.

"But why, Guddan? Vikram asked following after her.

"Kyuki Jindal saab won't like my presence there! Guddan tried to make him understand.

"Seriously Guddan! Vikram asked rolling his eyes. This girl and her blind love!

"Aur nhi toh kya! I was deluding myself into believing that he will believe my truth. But what happened!? Jab Chef association se party ka invite aaya toh he said that he will be the only one coming and that too without a partner! I was there, you know!! Guddan whined.

Vikram stopped and looked at her troubled, "That must have been because...

"...of me! He whispered the last part to himself as he bit his tongue.

Flashback:

As Akshat turned around with the invite, Vikram showed up with a blueberry cake in his hands.

"Khake batao, kesa hai?! He chimed happily placing the cake on table, in front of her where she was reading newspaper, or pretending to read one!

Nodding, Guddan took a bite and moaned at its softness in her mouth. "It's delicious! She exclaimed as she took yet another bite.

Vikram smiled and looked at Akshat from his side view, smirking victoriously, "After all I am a decorated pastry chef!

It was when he noticed a bit of cream sticking to her lips and without thinking twice, he wiped it off.

I am quite sure now, that at that very moment his burning glare was the one boring holes into the back of my head. And that probably was the moment when he had turned away and gave his response, out of anger!' Vikram looked at Guddan guiltily.

It was my fault and I'll make sure to mend it too'

"Listen, he didn't want to take you, that was his wish. I want you to come with me, that is my wish and now whether you wish to accompany me, that's upto you... He explained and looked at her expectantly.

Guddan sighed. It was hard to say a no' to him.

"Fine, I'll come

"Great, be ready by 7:30 pm sharp And with that he stormed off to make the necessary preparations. He was going to set everything straight for her today.

Party:

Akshat who had been conversing with a fellow chef over a wine glass turned to stone as he saw an angel in green gown descend into the party. It was Guddan. Every person in the party, men or women alike had their eyes glued to her.

She after all was looking, every inch the princess she was!

That proud twinkle in his eyes that had surfaced despite the fact that he had showed up in the function without her, was blown to bits as his eyes followed her arms which were linked with Vikram's.

Both smiled at each other and Akshat resisted the urge to knock his teeth in. Fisting his palms, Akshat turned away while Guddan and Vikram greeted people.

As the party progressed, people started taking onto the dance floor.

"May I have the pleasure of dancing with you? A man came upto Guddan.

Akshat gritted his teeth. That man definitely was asking for the pleasure of his arms being ripped off.

"But of course, I am the one bestowed with that pleasure! Vikram butted in as he took Guddan's right in his left and lead her to the dance floor.

Few minutes into the dance, Vikram smiled uncomfortably. He looked down at Guddan who had her eyes locked with her husband's, who was sitting right behind him, by the bar.

If looks could kill, he would have been dead a hundred times over. That AJ was glaring at him non-stop!

But oh well, It's time to start...' Vikram thought as he pulled away from Guddan and clapped his hands twice.

The music stopped and the atmosphere went eerily silent. And suddenly the lights went out before a single beam of blue light was focussed entirely on Guddan.

Akshat got up from his seat worried while Guddan twiddled her fingers uncomfortably. It was when Akshat's eyes widened beyond measures as another flash of red lit up the stage to reveal a Vikram sitting on his knees right in front of Guddan.

"Vikram, ye sab kya... Guddan asked not getting the meaning of all of this.

Vikram smiled, "I am sorry, Guddan. I lied to you. I didn't come here to buy a plot for my restaurant...I came here for you! You left a deep impression on me back in Goa and no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't get you off my mind. It was a first, getting agitated by someone's tears, getting happy on seeing someone else smile...it was all so new. But what I didn't know was that it was all you. I had fallen for you...

Guddan looked at him in disbelief, nodding her head in negative.

"So... With that Vikram flipped open the box in his hand to reveal a stunning piece of platinum ring and looked up at her, "Will you be mine?

"IN YOUR DREAMS!!

Before Vikram could process those words, his right cheek made contact with a stone hardy fist throwing him off his seating position into a lying position on the stage.

Groaning, as Vikram held his aching cheek, he looked up into Akshat Jindal's red hot eyes.

"Tumhari himmat kese hui aisa sochne ki bhi!!! Akshat shouted as he pulled up Vikram by his collar and punched him yet again.

"Jindal saab, rukiye! Guddan shouted as she hurried up to stop Akshat as he advanced towards Vikram.

Vikram got up to his feet and wiped the blood from the corner of his lips."Himmat ki kya baat hai ismein!? I love Guddan! Why do you mind? Kyuki jabse main dekh raha hoon aapne toh use seedhe muh baat bhi nhi ki hai! Everytime she tried to appease to you, you would just go *kaboom* on her...

"Vikram, stop it! Guddan shouted as she struggled to keep Akshat in check.

"Why Guddan?! Jhooth nhi bol raha hu main. I have never seen him talk to you decently, forget about love. All he does is shout and fight with you. So why is it not ok that someone who loves you whisks you away! Why can't I have you? I'll keep you happy. I won't be the reason for your tears! Then why can't you be mine?!

"BECAUSE SHE IS MINE AND MINE ALONE!

Akshat's voice roared over Vikram's. Guddan looked at Akshat emotional as he looked at her and continued with his words, in a much softer tone, "Mine to hold, Mine to cherish, Mine to fight with, Mine to get angry at...

And then he turned to Vikram and threatened him, "So you are better off keeping your hands and your proposal to yourself unless you want to get your bones broken!

"Kis haq se aap ye sab... Before Vikram could ask, Akshat answered his question, "Haq hai mera kyuki patni hai wo meri aur main uska main pati hu.

Vikram smirked at Guddan and her eyes widened. He did it intentionally!

"There is space for only one man in her life, and that's me! So SCRAM!! With that announcement, Akshat pulled Guddan closer by her waist, possessively.

Vikram looked at the stage while nursing his swollen cheek with ice pack. Guddan and AJ were swaying in each other's embrace absolutely unaware of the world around. And her eyes were totally lost in him.

"And I thought that I can have that kind of love! So silly of me to invest my heart where there was never going to be any return... Vikram chuckled as he picked up the vodka glass and downed it one shot, while reminiscing her smile and laughter.

That's it!😃 So I ended up finishing the story in three shots coz I had no idea to extend it any longer and also I already have two major stories running for months. Anyway, I did my best to give you a befitting ending of an angry tedha confession by jindakl saab. Hope you all liked it!⭐️
