"Kya hua hai Guddan ko? Akshat asked the doctor who was busy inspecting Guddan.

"Nothing to worry about Mr. Jindal, mild hypoglycaemia ke symptoms hain aur dehydration hai. I've given her injection so she should wake up in an hour or so, Doctor spoke as he got off the bed and shut his briefcase.

"Hypoglycemia? Akshat asked staring at Guddan's face.

"Ji haan, as far as I noticed, she hasn't eaten adequately for the past few days. That's why inka blood glucose aur BP low ho gaya. It's nothing to worry about but I'll recommend that she start eating properly otherwise severe BP drop se brain ko shock lag sakta hai.

Akshat nodded at Kishore, who followed after the doctor whilst Dadi came up and pressed a kiss to Guddan's forehead.

"Lakshmi bahu, aap chhapan ke pohe aur raju ki kachori order kar dijiye, AJ spoke as he sat by Guddan's side and looked at her form with worry lines creasing his head.

What had happened when he was unconscious?!

Lakshmi nodded and left with Saru in tow.

An hour later when Guddan's eyes fluttered open, Akshat was still seated by her side engrossed in his book. "Uth gayi finally! AJ spoke, snapping the book shut and helped her in sitting.

And before Guddan could make head and tail of her surroundings, Akshat placed a plate filled with Kachori and poha in her lap. Bewildered, Guddan looked back and forth between the plate and AJ.

"Tumhare favourite hai na?! Toh mujhe kya dekh rahi ho, Khao!! AJ spoke signalling towards the plate with his eyes.

Guddan had barely opened her mouth to clear the query clouding her mind when AJ put a spoonful of poha in between her lips. As she gulped the poha, she looked at AJ in absolute confusion.

"Mujhe mat dekho aur isse khao!! AJ ordered again and long before Guddan found herself eating the food, every now and then stealing quick glances at AJ who had his hawk eyes fixed on her.

And as soon as Guddan had kept the plate on side table, and had just started drinking water, AJ spoke up. "Why did you faint?!

Guddan choked on the water and hit her neck thrice to clear her throat. She looked sideways at AJ and found him waiting, patiently. Macchli fas gayi!!

"Humein kya pat... She had barely replied when he cut her off.

"Doctor was saying ki tumne khana nhi khaya kaafi dinon se?!

Guddan gulped hard. His tone screamed danger. He was going to skewer her alive!!

"Hum..wo... She stuttered while she looked into Akshat's unwavering eyes fixed with hers.

"Vo humne f...fast ra...rkha tha aapk..ke..liye, She replied meekly, stealing her gaze away from him.

Akshat shook his head in negative. She had fallen ill because of this fast!

"Kyu rakha tumne fast?! Pehli baat tumse bhookh bardasht hoti nhi hai aur doosri baat tumhare bhookhe rehne se main kese theek ho sakta hu! AJ remarked, annoyed. He was just annoyed seeing her state!

"Aap theek hue! Dekhiye bhagwaan ji ne na apna promise nhi toda aur na hi hamara vishwas, toh aap na fast ki power ko underestimate mat kariye aur doosri baat, humse bhookh bardasht nhi hoti par aap zaroori hain ya bhookh!! Guddan asked offended, glaring him with her fiery eyes.

Akshat sighed in defeat, trying hard to suppress the twinge of happiness on listening to her give him more importance than food! Way to go Akshat Jindal! Feeling happy about such a trivial thing! Is your head ok or a screw or two fell over during the operation!!?

"It's just that tum kitni murjha gayi ho! He spoke worried, caressing her cheek and continued, "It's been two days since I woke up then why did you...!?

Guddan cupped his hand on her cheek and smiled sadly. "Koshish toh ki thi par khane ka ek niwala bhi halak ke neeche nhi utra, humein bas becheni thi aapko dekhne ki. Bhook toh marr hi gayi thi hamari!

"Toh aayi kyun nahin?! Kahan thi tum?! He asked, as his heart squeezed painfully.

"Hum aana chahte thhe par hamare dimag ne rok diya. Ismein hamari bahuon ya beton ki galti nhi hai, unka naaraz hona toh banta hi tha, kaam hi aisa kiya tha, apni naasamjhi se unke papa aur AJ ki zindagi khatre mein daal di...par hum aapke paas nhi thhe toh kya hua aapse dur bhi nahi thhe! Guddan replied smiling.

In response, AJ knitted his brows close and looked at her in query.

"Papa humein saath le jaana chahte thhe par humein laga ki agar aapko hamari zaroorat pad gayi toh! Toh hum naa servant quarters mein hi dera jamakar baith gaye!

Akshat's eyes widened in disbelief. "Servant quarters?! Tum ghar kyu nhi aayi, this is your house too and kisi ke kuch bhi kehne se...

"...hum konsa manne wale thhe! Par humne kaha na ki hum bas aapki life ke saath risk nhi lena chahte thhe varna kisi ki majaal ki Guddan ko rok le! Guddan spoke, high on self appreciation.

AJ smiled at her gloating. How childishly adorable!!

"Aur aapko kya lagta hai! Durga bahu ne humein dhoondha!! Ji nhi, hum unhe khud hi mil gaye kyunki aapko zaroorat thi. Par na humein samajh nhi aa rha ki humein khushhi kyu ho rhi hai!? Even though humein ye sochkar gussa aa rha hai ki aapke stitches khul gaye aap ki stubbornness ke kaaran, I am actually happy knowing that you terminated that nurse's services, humein khhushi hai ye jaankar ki aapne unki madad nhi li! How strange!! Guddan thought confused by such foreign emotions of unpleasantness, that too against a stranger woman!

"Toh tumhe sabki khabar thi! AJ asked, amused by the slight hint of jealousy she had displayed without realising.

"Nhi...Mujhe aapki khabar thi.. Guddan spoke softly and looked into his eyes that were caught surprised by this bold statement.

A comfortable silence dawned and no words were exchanged.

"Aur ab hum aapko ekdum fit and fine kar denge! Guddan spoke abruptly breaking the magical spell and jumped off the bed.

"Aapko dekh liya aur khana kha liya toh ab hum ready hain! Guddan remarked, with a fire of determination lighting her eyes.

"Ready?! For what!? AJ asked, happy to see her back to her bubbly self.

"For my redemption... Guddan replied, " And this time there is no place for mistakes!"

This part is kinda small and I know that😆 but couldn't help it!! So this update was kind of on the filler side but I thought that AJ needs to know what was his wife doing when he was out cold😃

But the next updates are going to be full of mushy mushy romance and eyelocks and much more😳

Aaanddd...We are almost approaching the closure of this story which was supposed to be a three shot but ended up as a short story. I hope I'll be able to do justice to your expectations and give you a befitting ending😛
