The fight is now between the final seven from the 60 that originally started out in the competition. The race to win the coveted title - 'Hasi Ka Shahenshah' has just got tougher. The finalists - Khayali Saharan from Chandigarh, Rajkumar Javkar, Dr. Tushar Shah, Rajeev Nigam from Mumbai, Pratap Fauzdar from Agra, Rauf Lala and the comic duo Ali Hasan and Irfan Malik from Pakistan are all geared up to clash in the battle of the comedians. The prize? A swanky new Chevrolet Aveo along with the title of being the funniest man in India! The first episode of the finals will test the contestant's naturalness and comic timing against each other. No one can decide whether Dr. Tushar Shah's subtle style of witty delivery, Khayali's humourous gags, wisecracks and punches or Rajeev Nigam's political satire will win over the audience. Rajkumar Javkar's heroic muppet Ranchoo, the Pakistani duo of Ali Hasan and Irfan Malik with their chemistry, too, are extremely popular among the audiences. The other favourites, Rauf Lala and Pratap Fauzdar are also poised to give their best shot in the upcoming finals. According to Niloufer Kotwal, a regular viewer of the show, "I'm a big fan of the Pakistani duo, Ali and Irfan. I think they're absolutely hilarious and I really hope they win. They've got a great comic timing and their expressions are to die for." Another enthusiastic fan Narendra Mishra, banker, said, "I have been watching the laughter challenge since its first season and with each episode, the jokes simply get better. I'm rooting for Rajeev Nigam. I find his political spoofs really amusing. I hope he's crowned the winner. The other contestants aren't bad at all but Nigam I feel has a real edge over them." The finals will be shown over two episodes with the first one being aired tonight, which has Sunil Shetty as the celebrity judge. After 16 weeks of wild entertainment, hilarity and tough rivalry, the countdown has begun. Tune into Star One for fun, laughter and entertainment tonight at 10:00 pm for the battle between some of India's finest stand up comedians. |
