Episode 17: Isha vs Surekha: Who Invited Her?
As Isha stepped into the reception hall with a determined stride, her presence commanded attention as she fixed her gaze on the gossiping group.
"Excuse me," she said firmly, her voice cutting through the chatter. "I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. It's disappointing to see such baseless rumors being spread about Savi. Savi isn't an orphan or a poor girl; she has been raised well by a prominent family in Ramtek, from where I also belong."
The room fell silent, all eyes turning to Isha as she continued, her words measured but laced with conviction.
"Savi is a remarkable young woman with her own accomplishments and aspirations. It's time we judged her based on her character and actions, rather than succumbing to idle gossip."
Surekha couldn't stop herself and shouted back, "Who are you to insult my guests? Did they say anything to you? Did we invite you? You are no one to interfere in my family matters or with my guests."
Isha looked at Ishaan and Shantanu, then smiled at Surekha. "Namaskar, Vahini. I don't think I need permission to be here, do I? I have come here as Savi’s guardian."
Surekha fumed and looked at Ishaan, expecting him to retaliate against Isha. However, Ishaan simply looked down.
As the tension simmered in the room, Shantanu stepped forward, joining Isha and standing beside her. He addressed Surekha with a calm but firm tone, "Surekha Vahini, Isha is not only Savi's guardian but also Ishaan's biological mother. It's her right to be here and express her opinions, especially when it concerns Savi's well-being and reputation."
Surekha's expression wavered between disbelief and anger, but before she could respond, murmurs rippled through the crowd. Some guests exchanged shocked glances at the unfolding drama, while others leaned in, eager to catch every word.
Meanwhile, the Bhosle family members watched the scene unfold with varying degrees of concern and surprise.
Rao Saheb stood tall with a stern expression etched on his face, his gaze unwavering as he silently observed the unfolding confrontation.
Anvi chewed nervously on her lower lip, her eyes darting between Isha, Surekha, and Ishaan, her anxiety palpable in the tense atmosphere.
Shikha and Asmita were scared as usual, and Nishikant and Durva were just making faces to please Surekha.
Savi, with the presence of Isha Mam and the silent support of Ishaan, firmly stood up for herself, facing the skeptical crowd. She raised her voice, her words cutting through the murmurs.
"I am not an orphan, nor am I defined by my tribal origins or perceived usefulness," Savi declared, her voice steady despite the tremble in her hands. "I am capable and worthy, and I will prove it to all of you."
To her surprise, Ishaan stepped forward, his presence lending weight to her words. "She speaks the truth," he affirmed, his gaze unwavering. "Savi is as much a part of this community, and now Bhosle family, as any of us. Let us embrace her talents and potential."
At this point in time, he was torn between his loyalty to Surekha and his desire to support Savi and Isha. Guilt, frustration, and uncertainty battled within him, leaving his mind in turmoil.
Finally, he moved the curtain from the much-awaited suspense, 'She, I mean IshaMam, has been invited here by me!' His words echoed through the room, cutting through the tense atmosphere with a note of authority.
'Things have drastically changed in the last 15-20 days. Savi is all alone, but I don't want her to feel abandoned until she gets adjusted to us. She needs a support system where she can vent out her feelings.'
He looked at Savi lovingly, 'When I had invited Dr. Isha Bhosle on your birthday, I observed that she is the one with whom you have the most emotional bond. Sadly, I could not bring your Ajji, Badi Ajji, or Tai here, but how can I forget your mother figure?'
He then glanced at his Aai, his tone slightly taunting, 'Without a mother, the world seems empty no matter with whom you have been.'
Hearing this, Surekha seemed to freeze in place, her expression a mix of shock and disbelief. She quickly composed herself, faking illness as she asked everyone to depart, claiming that the function had taken an unexpected turn.

Episode 16: ISHANU Return to Bhosle Mansion?
The plane touched down at Mumbai International Airport, and Isha and Shantanu made their way through the bustling terminal to catch a cab to Pune. As the cityscape of Mumbai faded into the distance, anticipation and apprehension mingled in Isha's heart.
The journey to Pune seemed longer than usual, each passing mile accompanied by a silent introspection. Isha stole glances at Shantanu, noting the furrowed lines on his forehead, a mirror to her own inner turmoil.
Finally, they arrived at Bhosle Mansion, the venue of the reception party. The grandeur of the mansion loomed before them, its imposing façade a stark reminder of the world Isha had left behind.
However, Isha hesitated to take another step forward. This premises held painful memories for her—twenty-two years ago, she had been forced to leave the premises along with leaving her dear son in the hands of her elder sister-in-law, Surekha who was the mastermind behind it.
She could never bring herself to return and nobody invited her back, not even her husband! And, the saddest part was that her son grew up believing his mother had abandoned him for her career goals, while Surekha was the one who raised him.
Though Ishaan had inherited all the values of his genes from Isha, he was still a version crafted by the Bhosles. Isha didn't want to disrupt his special day, so she decided not to enter the mansion. Instead, she opted to steal a glimpse of him and Savi from afar.
She asked Shantanu to go inside and make a secret video call, allowing her to lay her eyes on her beloved son, even if it was from a distance.
Meanwhile, in the reception hall, after the enchanting dance of Ishaan and Savi, they stood awkwardly together, engaging in conversation with the crowd. But no function is complete without a mishap.
A few staff members and students (Durva’s friends) began gossiping about Savi—her background and related matters. While their comments weren't direct, they were undeniably harsh.
"I heard she's just a small-town girl who lucked into this marriage," one person sneered, casting a disdainful glance in Savi's direction. "What could someone like her possibly offer to the Bhosle family?"
Another voice chimed in, dripping with sarcasm. "And did you see her outfit? Clearly trying too hard to fit in with the high society. It's laughable, really."
A particularly malicious rumor spread like wildfire, causing heads to turn and eyebrows to raise in disbelief. "I heard she only married Ishaan for his money. Can you imagine? Using someone for their wealth—it's despicable."
Meanwhile, the Bhosle family members, Surekha, Yashwant Rao and Nishikant, exchanged knowing glances, their expressions smug with satisfaction on the bitching of Savi. This was precisely what they had feared—that Savi would never be worthy of their esteemed family name.
As the whispers and rumors about Savi swirled around the reception hall, Ishaan couldn't help but notice the malicious glances and pointed remarks directed at his wife. His jaw tightened with frustration, his protective instincts kicking in. He wanted to confront the gossipers, defend Savi's honor, and set the record straight. But he knew that doing so would only fuel the fire, giving credence to the baseless accusations.
Instead, Ishaan forced himself to maintain a calm facade, his expression carefully neutral as he engaged in polite conversation with the guests. But beneath the surface, a storm raged within him—a mixture of anger, hurt, and helplessness.
He stole a glance at Savi, who stood gracefully amidst the crowd, her painful smile never faltering despite the daggers being thrown her way. It pained him to see her subjected to such cruelty, knowing that she deserved so much better.
And then, just as Ishaan was about to intervene, he caught sight of Isha striding purposefully into the room, her presence commanding attention.
All his attention from saving Savi’s honor diverted to an unwelcomed entry of Mrs Isha Bhosle. He raises his eyebrows. There were plenty of emotions running in him but his face was straight.
And, on the other hand, Savi gets tearful and finds solace seeing her only Aai-like figure making her entry!

Episode 18: Yashwant's Plan to Separate IshVi
Next day, early morning at Bhosle Mansion:
The family was still reeling from the events of the previous night. Though Isha and Shantanu had left, Yashwant and Surekha were gripped by immense fear—Yashwant feared losing Ishaan, while Surekha worried about Shantanu bringing Isha back forever. On top of it all, Ishaan's growing fondness for Savi was becoming increasingly apparent. It wasn't love, but something very special and obvious.
Yashwant, envious of the bond between Savi and Ishaan, devised a cunning plan to drive a wedge between them. He approached Ishaan with a proposal for a new medical college angel funding round that required his expertise, knowing it would take him away from the town for an extended period. With honeyed words and false promises, Yashwant succeeded in persuading Ishaan to accept the project, unaware of the ulterior motive behind the offer.
Yashwant: "Ishaan, my son, I have an exciting opportunity for you. This medical project is a dream of mine, one that will uplift the careers of many students and enhance our reputation in the education field. We are planning an Angel funding round, for which presentations will require your exceptional skills and leadership. It will take you to new heights, both professionally and personally. But it requires your undivided attention and expertise. You'll have to leave town for a while, but trust me, it will be worth it."
Ishaan, thinking not of the project but of Savi, pauses, considering the offer. "I see... It sounds like an intriguing opportunity. But what about my responsibilities here?"
Yashwant: "Don't worry about that, Ishaan. I'll take care of everything in your absence. Think of it as a chance for you to spread your wings and soar to new heights."
Ishaan: nodding thoughtfully "Very well, Rao Saheb. I'll do it.”
Yashwant: smirking "Of course, my friend. You can count on me."
However, as he exits his room, Ishaan ponders how best to handle this situation without leaving Savi alone. He enters Savi's room and finds her sitting in a chair, legs stretched out on the bed, immersed in her books. He smiles at her dedication to her studies despite the chaos of the previous night.
He addresses her lovingly, “Savi, I need a few minutes of your time.”
Savi, upon hearing Ishaan’s words, sits up straight, adjusts her kurti, and says, “Yes, Ishaan Sir, please.”
Ishaan briefly explains the situation, “You will be alone here for a week, without me,” he says, then sensing a different meaning, hesitates, “I mean, this environment is still new to you, and people are still somewhat unfamiliar to you.”
He takes a seat beside her in another chair, takes her hand in his, and makes a heartfelt plea. "I wish to take you with me," he urges, his eyes reflecting genuine concern. "This new place may not be as welcoming, and I fear for your comfort without my support. Come with me for a week, just until you find your footing."
Savi hesitates, torn between Ishaan’s proposal and her responsibilities at college. "I appreciate your concern, Ishaan Sir," she replies, her voice tinged with regret. "But I cannot leave my studies. I will manage here on my own, as I always have. I wish you all the best Sir, and if there is anything, I have Ishamam." She notices the change in Ishaan’s facial expressions upon hearing his mother's name, but cannot understand its significance.
“Also, Sir, I am the secretary of the Cultural Events Committee at Bhosle Institute, and we have a planned Holi event tomorrow. I need to take care of many things; I simply can't think of bunking college.”
Ishaan’s eyebrows raise, and a smile appears at the corner of his lips upon hearing about the upcoming Holi event. He gets an idea of how to handle the investor’s meeting without leaving Savi alone.

Episode 19: Ishvi-licious Holi at Bhosle Institute of Excellence
Ishaan on hearing the upcoming Holi event, gets an instant idea on handling this investors meet. He takes out his phone and calls up Nishikant uncle, “Nishikant Sir, the papers aren't complete yet, and presenting them as they are would be a risk. We need at least two days to iron out the details, or we might miss out on valuable opportunities. Kindly spend TWO more days to work on the pipeflow analysis and come up with exact numbers. Please talk to investors and get the date reschedule for the meeting otherwise we will lose the low hanging fruits just because of loopholes at our end.”
Savi overhears this and gets puzzled, “What happened to Sir now, he is always in his Chidkiya avatar whether its me or anyone else.”
----------------------------
Savi reaches college and meets her friends, goes through the checklist of the event and then assigns tasks to her gang. Preeti and Shaswat to work on decor and tie balloons, Kajal and Navya to arrange for organic colors, water guns and water balloons. She crafts a list of “NOT to do” to keep students in their decorum and hands it over to Shukla ji
Her half of the day gets over in this.
She informs Shuklaji to label the notice on each of the notice board about Holi celebration timings, venue (college ground on the back side) and desirable clothes to be worn.
Shuklaji was equally enthu for this event.
Some students murmur among themselves, will Ishaan sir play holi this time? Because he never comes for that with us.
Savi gets to know about it and thinks why is it so, is he allergic to colors? But this is not just fun but also a religious festival.
Meanwhile, Ishaan sorts out the clash of meeting with Holi event and informs Rao Saheb that his presence here is equally important as the Head of Cultutal department and papers arent yet ready to be presented. The date of meeting got rescheduled two days later. Rao Saheb got convinced, unaware of his interest to be with Savi during Holi.
--------------------------------------
Next morning, Ishvi gets ready for the college. Both dresses up in plain white costumes. Ishaan looked handsome in kutra pajama and Savi looked cute in kurti leggings, she keeps her hair open but puts little oil so color do not damage her strands.
She asks if Ishaan sir wants to put hair in his oil, he goes back to 22 years. Memories of past Holis flooded Ishaan's mind. He remembered the laughter of his childhood, the vibrant colors painting joyous scenes in the air with his mom. The departure of Isha had cast a shadow over the festival, leaving behind an emptiness that no amount of colors could fill. Since then, Ishaan had retreated into the solitude of his memories, avoiding the festivities as a way to shield himself from the pain of her absence.
He just replies, “Savi, I dont play colors now, the last holi i played when I was 8 years old, then never.”
She could link this change with the departure of Isha mam from his life.
____________________
In the college, everyone was happy and joyous. As soon as the clock ticks 3 PM, everyone rushes to the back side ground to play colors and make their day memorable.
This Holi came with new hopes and new colors in SAvi’s life whereas Ishaan was still caught in the whirlwind of conflicting emotions, dormant memories and unspoken desires.
The setup done by Gawachi gang was grand. There were stalls for colors, balloons, water guns, flowers, a huge tub filled with clean water, and some tanks filled with colored water. Snacks counter were spreading aroma of hot fresh samosa, chai and some cold drinks.
As it was a college, BHAANG wasnt allowed 🙂
Ishaan and Savi stood amidst the vibrant chaos of the Holi celebration, their hearts pounding with the rhythm of the drums and the laughter of the crowd.
As colors flew around them, they couldn't help but be drawn to each other, their gazes locking in a silent understanding.
Her friends rushed to her, grabbing her hand and pulling her off to play with colors. Meanwhile, Ishaan was busy clicking pictures of students and only realized a little later that Savi, his wife, was playing amidst the group of boys and girls. Kajal and Navya dumped almost a full bag of green color on her face, and Shaswat hit her with water balloons. Seeing this, Ishaan felt uncomfortable. Not just as a professor who always arranged this celebration, but as a man, something inside him stirred. After all, she is my wife! How could the students cross their limits?
He fumed but stood there nonetheless.
Few msicheivous students wanted Savi and Ishaan to play together as its their first Holi and its a college ground. They wanted to see them enjoying and playing along with them.
They asks Savi to put color on Ishaan sir, she denies, “Sir doesnt like it”
Few girls also join them and reinforces her, “Its a shagun Savi!”
Savi walks towards Ishaan with a pinch of pink gulaal in her hands, and goes near him, “Ishaan Sir, happy holi, its a shagun to put tilak on your…..”, “On your,....” She keeps her sentence incomplete.
Few professors who were also there help her complete, “Ishaan Sir, Husband and wife should do at least tilak on their first holi”
Somehow Ishaan fails to deny and allows her to put a tilak on his forehead with pink gulaal. Her touch lasts a huge impact and bring backs all his desires to play and have fun of this festival.
He grabs her hand back and asks her to wait, takes the pinch of remaining pink color from her hand and puts on her forehead which also touches her hairline. Amidst the playful chaos, Ishaan reached out, his fingers brushing against Savi's hand, sending a jolt of electricity through both of them. Their eyes met, a silent invitation passing between them as they moved closer, the crowd fading into the background.
The music gets louder and the crowd gets crazier, they cheer up for Ishaan & Savi and asks them to join the stage.
Ishaan looks into her eyes and gives a sweet smile, Savi smiles back but feels shy.
They come near the stall of colors and water guns.
With a mischievous smile, Ishaan dipped his fingers into a pot of bright red gulal, his touch feather-light as he traced patterns across Savi's cheeks, leaving a trail of warmth in his wake. As the vibrant colors continued to swirl around them, Ishaan's touch grew bolder, his fingers trailing down Savi's neck, leaving streaks of crimson and azure in their wake.
Savi's breath hitched at the intimate gesture, her skin tingling with each delicate caress of him.
In response, Savi dipped her own fingers into a pot of vibrant blue, her touch trailing down Ishaan's neck, leaving a tantalizing sensation in its wake.
Their laughter mingled with the music, their playful exchange growing more heated with each passing moment.
Lost in the moment, Ishaan pulled Savi closer, their bodies pressing together as they danced to the rhythm of their own desires.
The colors of Holi blurred around them, their world narrowing down to the intoxicating connection they shared.
She runs little away, he runs behind her. A mischievous sparkle lit up Ishaan's eyes as he grabbed a nearby bucket of water. With a playful grin, he poured the water over Savi.
Savi tools a water gun and sprinkle lots of splashes on his face and kurta. Bith gets completely wet under the shining sun.
Her drenched body wrapped under wet white kurti was revealing her curves under the brightness of the sun. His man’s eyes scan through it and savi gasped in surprise.
More than the water drops, his eyes were sending shivers down her spine, but the warmth of Ishaan's gaze kept her grounded. With a playful glint in her eye, she retaliated in kind, grabbing another bucket and dousing Ishaan with water, his clothes clinging to his muscular frame, his skin glistening in the fading light.
Both for a while forget that it was the college campus and they are also here as a professor and student. Savi after a long time, enjoyed a moment with the one who truly cares for her and Ishaan after ages, enjoyed a moment with the one who is destined to be with him forever.
In the background, a Holi celebration was going on!
