Today she interacted with Virat in the capacity of a parent. Also both Satya and Sai married each other on the condition that they both won't ever bear any expectations. How come Satya is a victim in all this!!

I actually have no issues with Sai not loving Satya. My issues lie with her not recognising and even romanticising abuse as a 32 y/o medical professional who would have been exposed to the concept of psychiatry. Anyhow.

Nah, man, Imlie was a barely educated, illegitimate teenager to whom marriage meant social security which her mother did not have. She was groomed by a man 2x her age and despite her relapses, she did choose herself over her pyaar. She did recognise grooming and abuse eventually. All of this happend before she was 25 because she died around the age of 25/26.

Sai grew up a child with social sanction and financial security, education and situations led her to be stuck in a grooming and abusive marriage. Despite moving away from her abuser and being a medical professional of 32, she shows zero standards and is dreaming about hugging her abuser, absorbing his anger, and making him feel better. It is because Sai's character is so spineless that I cannot care about Saiya. It won't impact me if they don't happen.

Education, sense of security and financial sanction doesn’t warrant some higher level of consciousness to behave with an abuser. Victims are victims and their relationship with the abuser remains the same. Yes, Sai could have had more opportunities to escape but the virtue of her position but her being able to take chance of them is also dependant on her relationship with the abuser.

I think categorising victims as good or bad victims based on when they walk out of their abuse trivialises their experience of abuse itself. Imlie and Sai are both victims of grooming. Equally affected. Both of them walked out when it got too much. Sai’s abuser is her children’s father. That puts her in close proximity with him and feelings for your abuser is one of the classic consequences is gaslighting that is found in victims.
