#3: Gajra
Sai was getting dressed when there was a sharp knock on the bedroom door. She looked at Satya who rolled his eyes.
"It must be Aai and her gajra" He grumbled to himself as he opened the door, while Sai busied herself in waking up Savi, not wanting to make it more awkward for herself and Satya.
"Good morning!" Gauri greeted her enthusiastically as she pushed Satya and walked in the room
"Good morning Savi," the older woman beamed at Savi who wished her sleepily.
"Tai gave this for you, now I will leave before you call me public" Gauri said and air quoted the last word.
"What is that?" Savi asked, now pushing away her sleep.
"It's a gajra, Bala. Your Aaji got it for your Aai." She showed it to the kid who beamed.
"It is so beautiful! Aai, wear it, please."
"I will, Savi. Now go and freshen up, come on." Sai tried to distract her, but she knew it was a lost battle as she saw determination grow in her eyes.
"No, wear it, now!" She quipped back
"Savi..." Sai raised her eyebrow, but Savi was in no mode to listen.
"Satya, come one, help her with the gajra else Savi wont move." Gauri jumped on the chance to push the newlyweds closer. Satya gave her an annoyed look.
"Yes Buddy, you should help Aai." Savi now focused on Satya, becuase her Buddy never said no to her. Sai looked at him helplessly.
Satya looked at Gauri, as if to say "look what you did" and then back at his stepdaughter. Gauri left the room, giggling at Savi's antics and the adults' shy behaviour.
"Why don't you help her with gajra?" Sai grumbled impatiently. Sai opened her mouth to rebuke Savi when Satya sat next to her, on the bed.
"Savi, your Aai is not comfortable with me being so close to her. It's called personal space. Sometimes, people don't like being touched, so, it's always a good idea to seek permission when you do so, especially if you have just become friends or you are strangers. Your Aai and I just became friends, right, so she and I need some time, till then, I have to respect her no and not overstep her personal boundaries."
"But, I thought you are married. Don't you like each other?"
"We are, but consent in important in any and every relationship. And we do like each other, as friends, it's just that we'll be super close, and I need some time to get comfortable with that." Sai explained to her daughter. Savi nodded with a serious expression on her face as she understood what her mother and Buddy were explaining to her.
"Can I help you with the gajra?" She asked after a few seconds and Sai nodded with a smile. She gave her the gajra and the hair pins.
Savi adorned her mother's hair with gajra as Satya watched them, with admiration in his eyes.
__________
The gajra makes a comeback𫣠I wanted to write a sequence about consent in chapter 1 itself, but pushed it back because of writer's block and realized that it's not going to get better, so yeh hi likh daalađŠ
Satya rebuking BK for threatening to use Savi>>>>>>> everything
Tell me what you think below.
Some adults need lessons on consent too.
#4: Storytime
Savi held her pillow to her chest and walked into her Aai's new room. She looked around and didnt see Sai. Buddy was on his phone. She knocked on the door and Buddy looked at her and beamed.
"Savi, come on in. Is there anything you needed?"
"Aai tells me a story before I go to bed. Where is she?"
"She is freshening up. Do you want to wait for her? Hop on." He patted on the bed and she jumped next to him.
But soon enough, the hectic day took over her and she laid on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
Satya looked at her and cleared his throat.
"Once, a lion terrorized his fellow jungle mates."
"Huh?" Savi asked in confusion.
"You look sleepy, I am telling you a story."
"But that's not how you tell a story. Where was the lion? How did he terrorize the fellow jungle mates? Why did he do that? Who were the jungle mates?" Savi asked in one breath. Satya gawked at her.
"Ummmm...."
Savi raised her eyebrow and waited for him to gather his thoughts. As pieces of puzzles started fitting in his brain, he cleared his throat again.
"There was a jungle near the Rampur village."
"Much better." Savi said, in a serious tone. Satya smiled and continued with the story.
Savi interrupted her after every few sentences, asking questions or correcting his logic. But finally, she did fall tired and gave in. She breathed softly as Satya continued with her story.
He stopped in middle to cover her with a duvet when she turned. Afraid that she'll wake up, he started patting her head and continued with how the rabbit got the lion to the well who thundered at his reflection.
Sai entered the room, wiping her hair.
"You are the only one except me who could make her sleep with your story telling."
"I wasn't telling her one, she was tutoring me. This Chutki is very picky. I am sure she inherited that from you."
Sai smiled but then frowned when he called her picky.
She was happy that Satya was being kind to her daughter. He had no reasons to be, especially after the child's family had been so horrible to him. She was right about one thing, Amba had raised him to be a kind man, and in her hasty decision, she had brought this man in her daughter's life and she had no regrets.
________
Why si the scene missing? They had 2 minutes to show CN people drama but not such a cute scene!
Nice one â¤ď¸ Sattu is a good man.. Sai & Savi will be happy. Amba did a good job raising him.
Such a beautiful partâ¤ď¸
Savi teaching Satya to tell story should have been included in today's episode it would have been such a heart warming scene
But you have explained it so nicely and realistic đ
Waiting for savi and Satya's next chronicle eagerly
so beautiful
Satya Savi bonding scenes r bliss here n in the show also
right about much better than CN drama to see SaiSatyaSavi n their moments, and thought processes.
Cvs don't have an idea to conclude a scene properly ...

It's nice to see FL as a rich competent modern girl for once and also a mom. Ruturaj won't be able to fight her back so easily
When writers decided to copy YHM, I left watching the show and came back to see Savi's happy ending which may end in tragedy now. I never liked...
