I’m also still wondering how the makers are just letting all this slide for the longest time … I don’t understand the bias towards Pakhi and her actions - she gets to say, do and be whatever she wants and yet she never gets blamed or punished !

Sai is human. To me as audience watching she is allowed to react in anger towards JM because he has done things to impact her life and her children very negatively. She doesn't have a preconceived notions about JM- she has a long history with him and has seem what he's done, knows what he's capable of. There's no reason for her to act proper always when her life is in shambles. V and JM have both wronged her but their place in her life isn't comparable so obviously her reactions to them is not comparable.

JM is not some innocent, dudh ka dhula man who i feel upset to see slapped.

He made that scene lighthearted. And i did not as a viewer feel it was objectionable.

Its also not entirely a filler coz, it serves a purpose because without confrontation with JM, Sai wouldn't know that someone else has spilled the truth to Savi.

I enjoy all Sai-JM scenes. I dont care if he's slapped. Sai is right to be upset and angry and shes behaving like any desperate, stressed out person might under extreme circumstances.

Sai can never look past everything and treat JM like any other acquaintance because after everything shes tolerated due to him, her mistrust and irritation with him is to be expected . She already did more for him than anyone else would have by saving his life.

JM himself tolerates it all because he realizes that he's done a lot of kaands in Sai's life both intentionally and unintentionally.

I'd like to see V , P slapped too. Infact BK too but that will never happen coz she is buzurg🙄

agree sai and JM scenes are treated to give some relief as well, but yes they are tying up some loose ends before they open the next track … based on the trend and the tracks from the past even if they show V or P getting slapped, it will be for momentary effect as when the time comes both of them will once again team up against Sai and I sincerely hope that doesn’t happen this time … as for BK I’m guessing we will soon know what’s on her mind actually … how did she turn a leaf so suddenly .. it can’t be Virat ke liye pyar after all these years

Yes it was little harsh I agree. Sai and Jaggy's bond is interesting. And evolved into unspoken friendship and kinship over years. Jagtap is the one who knew her from childhood. He had changed the course of her life. He has taken away her father and brother who were her biggest support. And apparently paid for his deeds. Truly reformed. Never bothered her after. Took care of her child like an uncle. She has seen him evolve into a better human being.

Now, she might be looking at him with whole different lens, a friend who she knew from childhood who she can express her frustrations on. In a way, Jagtap evolved himself into a friend for Sai. Who doesnt judge her for her brashness. He has always known her like that. But he was also very straight when he asked her not to blame him for what he has not done. It is not like he is obliging to her rashness. He is being curt to her when need be.

Though Jagtap had done unpardonable crimes in Sai's life, he is truly reformed and is making up for his mistakes. I was surprised that he doesnt harbor any romantic feelings for her after they decided to be friends. On Valentine's day too he was not planning to give her flower or anything. He said her happiness lies with Virat. Which is very endearing. 👍🏼

Jagtap showed that people do change. I am sure Virat too accepted his change. He was comfortable with him being around Sai and Savi. Till his jealousy takes over him :)

Aptly penned on Jagtap and Sai’s relationship evolution!

The best part is he knows Sai’s happiness is with Virat.

Agree Sadhika. Also, I’m not justifying the act of slapping. But we are looking at this from a very different perspective. We are looking at JM as a criminal who is completely reformed and is a well wisher of Sai. The only person who is currently standing by her side selflessly. Only wanting her happiness. So as audience who like Sai, we have started to feel a certain connect with JM too. And hence we expect Sai to treat him in a certain manner.
But if we take a step back, and like u said look at their equation as friends then this slap will not appear too harsh. I remember slapping friend for teasing me with someone openly. I was furious as I found it inappropriate. I’m not defending myself. But he was taken aback for sometime. But then we went back to normal. No serious discussion or argument around it. It became a private joke later. It is all about the equation you share and what kind of behaviour is set by to people it. If that of something that is mutually allowed then that is what it is. JM never questions her for slapping him. He only asks why she is so upset that she slapped him. Because he has given her those rights in their friendship. There are friends who always fight. I mean the usual conversation between them is teasing and taunting. But that again is something decided between the two individuals. Outsiders can’t judge that equation as the rules are set by them and it is their relationship.
